"Kṛṣṇa is very much anxious to take you back home, back to Godhead. But we are stubborn. We do not wish. So He's always finding out the opportunity how you can be taken back home, back to Godhead. Just like affectionate father. Rascal son left his father, loitering in the street and have no shelter, no food, suffering so much.

 

The father is more anxious to take the boy home. Similarly, Kṛṣṇa is the supreme father. All these living entities within this material world, they're exactly like the misled child of a big, rich man, loitering in the street. Therefore the greatest benefit to the human society is to give him Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Greatest . . . any kind of material profit will not satisfy the living entity."

"We want one sincere person who has learned to love God, Kṛṣṇa. That's all.mI have come to your country with this mission, and if I find one or two boys or girls sincerely have learned how to love God, Kṛṣṇa, then my mission is successful. I'm not after any number of . . .

 

because if I can turn one soul to this Kṛṣṇa consciousness, he'll do tremendous work, because he'll be fire. You see? He can do tremendous work. Ekaś candras tamo hanti na ca taraḥ sahasrasaḥ (Cāṇakya Paṇḍita). One moon is complete to drive away the darkness of night.

 

Not millions of stars required. What these millions of stars can do? One moon is sufficient. So our propaganda is to create one

 

"You give everything to God. That is God consciousness. Just like the conception of accepting God as child. That is better conception than to accept God as father, because from father we simply take away: "Father, give me this, give me that, give me that, give me that."

 

And if you accept God as child, then you have to give everything. This is Gauḍīya-Vaiṣṇava conception. Yaśodāmāyi, she has accepted . . . she's is worshiping God as child, so that she is always engaged that Kṛṣṇa may not be in any inconvenience about His body, about His comfort.

 

Always Mother Yaśodā is anxious that, "Kṛṣṇa is now very naughty. He may not capture some monkey, He may not fall down on the water, He may not be burnt in the fire." Always anxious. Because this is Kṛṣṇa consci

 

"As soon as I am desiring something, immediately my body is formed. Immediately a particular type of body begins to form, and as soon as I am mature to change, my next body I get according to my desire. Therefore we should always desire Kṛṣṇa. Then from this life, the Kṛṣṇa-approaching body, or the spiritual body, will be formed."

"But the bhakta, somehow or other he can, if he simply learns how to love Kṛṣṇa, then he hasn't got to undergo severe austerities and penance. Immediately he is released. Because that is the perfectional stage. If you live in Kṛṣṇa, always loving . . . just like the gopīs.

 

The gopīs, they learned how to love Kṛṣṇa. That's all. They never underwent any severe austerities like the great saintly persons going to Himalaya and pressing their nose and something. No, never did. Their only business was how to love Kṛṣṇa. Automatically.

 

Without any . . . of course, that stage is not easily obtained, but the śāstra says if you come to that stage, simply to love Kṛṣṇa, then you are on the highest platform of blissful life. Premāñjana-cchurita-bhakti-vilocanena santaḥ sadaiva hṛdayeṣu

 

Santaḥ, those who are devotees, they are twenty-four hours seeing God. That is

 

"As the devotee always think of Kṛṣṇa, similarly Kṛṣṇa also thinks of the devotee. He thinks more. That is the reciprocation.

 

ye yathā māṁ prapadyante

tāṁs tathaiva bhajāmy aham

(BG 4.11)

 

If you think of Kṛṣṇa twenty-four hours, Kṛṣṇa will think of you twenty-six hours. (laughter) Kṛṣṇa is so kind. If you do some service for Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa will reward you hundred times. But people, they do not want. They think, "What we shall benefit by serving Kṛṣṇa? Let us serve my dog." You see?

 

This is the misunderstanding. And our attempt is to awaken the dormant love of Kṛṣṇa. Everyone has got love—the stock of love is there—but it is being misused. They do not know where to place that love so that . . . because they do not know, therefore they are frustrated. Therefore t

 

"So Kṛṣṇa was the intimate friend of Arjuna. Not only to Arjuna; all the Pāṇḍavas. So they cannot tolerate separation from Kṛṣṇa. This is the sign of Kṛṣṇa devotee. Caitanya Mahāprabhu said that, "I have no love for Kṛṣṇa." The verse, just now I forget. Na prema-gandho 'sti (CC Madhya 2.45).

 

"So you have no love for Kṛṣṇa. You are always crying for Kṛṣṇa, and still you say that you have no love for Kṛṣṇa?" "No, I am crying just to make a show. Actually I am not devotee of Kṛṣṇa." "Why?" That "Because if I could have been a devotee of Kṛṣṇa, how could I live without Him? I have not died, still. That means I have no love for Kṛṣṇa."

 

This is the sign of love—that a lover cannot live for a moment without being associated with the beloved.

Unofficial list of the chief poison conspirators, who assassinated Srila Prabhupada in 1977, still unresolved in full; 

 

 

"Nārada Muni is going from one planet to another. He is coming from the spiritual sky through the material sky, because he is perfect bhakta (devotee). So that is the ideal living entity. As Kṛṣṇa has got full freedom, similarly when we become perfect, Kṛṣṇa conscious, we also become free. This is our position."

"Kṛṣṇa advises, "Always think of Me." Where is the difficulty? We have to think of something. We cannot keep our mind vacant. That is not possible. So make it a point that think of Kṛṣṇa, that's all.

Think of Kṛṣṇa, and if you chant, if you engage your tongue, "Hare Kṛṣṇa," and if you hear, then everything is compact in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. So to achieve strength, Kṛṣṇa is prepared to help us in so many ways."

"Glorious," yes. "Glorious praśnaḥ, because you have inquired about Kṛṣṇa." So varīyān eṣa te praśnaḥ kṛto loka-hitaṁ nṛpa (SB 2.1.1): "My dear king, this question is all-auspicious for all the people of the world." If we simply inquire about Kṛṣṇa or hear about Kṛṣṇa, even though we do not understand, but that vibration of "Kṛṣṇa" . . .

 

just like we are chanting "Hare Kṛṣṇa." We may not understand what is meaning of Hare Kṛṣṇa, but still, because it is transcendental sound, it is auspicious. Wherever you chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, they may hear or they may not hear, it is auspicious for them. So we are sending our men for street saṅkīrtana.

 

It doesn't matter whether people are eager to hear it or not, but it is auspicious. It will create an atmosphere which is very, very congenial to the human society. That should be our principle

 

"If Kṛṣṇa is explaining Himself, what He is, then where is your difficulty? Kṛṣṇa is explaining Himself in the Bhagavad-gītā, Kṛṣṇa is sending His representative ācārya to teach you, and Kṛṣṇa is within yourself trying to teach you if you are actually serious.

 

Then where is the difficulty? Inside, outside, always, books, knowledge—He is prepared. So where is the difficulty to make yourself perfect in Kṛṣṇa consciousness? There is no difficulty at all. Provided you are serious, you can become fully Kṛṣṇa conscious in this very life."

"At night, when we dream, we have got a different body; we go elsewhere; we're working differently, forgetting this body. And again, daytime, we forget our body which was seen in the dream. That is also dream, this is also dream. This is daydream, and that is night dream. But the seer, the soul, is permanent. He is in the daytime and he is also nighttime. So this is our position."

"Even if you study scrutinizingly, very scientifically or, whatever you may say, philosophically, you will have to accept a supreme arrangement, a supreme hand over everything. That is called Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Kṛṣṇa consciousness means a person who is Kṛṣṇa conscious, he can see everything.

 

He can see in everything the hand of God. That is Kṛṣṇa consciousness. If you see . . . a Kṛṣṇa conscious person sees a flower. He sees the flower—created . . . creation of God, Kṛṣṇa. "Oh, Kṛṣṇa is so artistic that He has created this flower by His energy so nicely, so decorately, so good flavor.

 

So it is Kṛṣṇa's thing. Let me offer it to Kṛṣṇa." This is Kṛṣṇa consciousness. If you become in everything Kṛṣṇa conscious, then your life is successful. That we are teaching."

Dr. Patel: "There were so many lines. I will again. Aneka divya . . . divi-sūrya-sahasrasya bhaved yugapad utthitā . . ."

 

Prabhupāda: "Ah, this is the comparison now, that divi, "In the sky, if there were thousands of suns at a time, then the brilliance of the virāṭa-rūpa could be understood." This is an example."
