This World Is Managed By The Raksasas

(You can know this world is now managed by the rākṣasas Rākṣasa. They don't mind what is happening. They are prepared to sacrifice everything for fulfilling their whimsical nonsense. They are called rākṣasa)

"Rākṣasa are called man-eaters, more than tiger. They, for their self-satisfaction, they can eat, I mean to say, even, even their own sons. You see? They are called rākṣasas. No shame. "My sense gratification should be satisfied. Never mind. You go to hell." So this is the age. So we, we create a machine that everyone comes and becomes smashed in that machine, and my sense satisfaction is there, although I'll never be happy by that sense satisfaction. This is going on.

You can know this world is now managed by the rākṣasas. Rākṣasa. They don't mind what is happening. They are prepared to sacrifice everything for fulfilling their whimsical nonsense. They are called rākṣasa. Rākṣasīm āsurīṁ caiva prakṛtiṁ mohinīṁ śritāḥ.."

Krsna Consciousness Is Saving The Soul

(That is real service. This is Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement. We are trying to save the soul) 🙏💖

"That is real service. This is Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement. We are trying to save the soul. The body, however you try to save it, it will, antavanta ime dehāḥ, it will end—today or tomorrow or after some years. You cannot save it. Save the soul. Nityasyoktāḥ śarīriṇaḥ. The śarīriṇaḥ, the soul, which is within the body, that is nitya, eternal.

Now, although it is nitya, it is fallen in certain condition of this material body, that it appears to be dying. Janma-mṛtyu-jarā-vyādhi-duḥkha-doṣānudarśanam (BG 13.9). He's under the tribulation of birth, death, old age and disease on account of this material body. Therefore, if you actually want to give service to the humanity, then give service to the soul. And if you give service to the soul, automatically the body is also served."

To Become Spirit Means Superior Position

(To become Brahman does not mean to become void. No. To become Brahman means superior energy. With superior energy, we have to work with superior endeavor and superior energy and superior position) 🙏💖

"Oh, in matter I am so much active because I am Brahman. Although I am contaminated with matter, still, I am so active. And when I am purified from matter, do you mean to say my activities stop? What is this reasoning? By nature I am active. By nature, because I am spirit, and by nature I am active. And my activities are exhibited even I am contaminated with this matter. And when you become purified from matter, do you think you shall be silent?

Is there any reason? So do you . . .? To become Brahman does not mean to become void. No. To become Brahman means superior energy. With superior energy, we have to work with superior endeavor and superior energy and superior position. And therefore it is called, in the next line, bhajanty ananya-manaso: "One who has become mahātmā, his symp

Mahatma Means One Who Has Enlarged His Heart

(Mahātmā means one who has enlarged his heart. Enlarged his heart: "Oh, everything belongs to God, and I also belong to God) 🙏💖

"And here it . . . "Those who are mahatma . . ." Mahātmā means one who has enlarged his heart. Enlarged his heart: "Oh, everything belongs to God, and I also belong to God." He's mahātmā. Mahātmānas tu māṁ pārtha: "My dear Arjuna, these mahātmās, they are not in . . . under the control of this material nature." One who can think that "Everything belongs to God, and I also belong to God. Therefore the supreme proprietor is God. Everything should be engaged in His service . . ." this is the qualification of mahātmā, broader. "God is great," and his heart is also has become great for serving the great. He's mahātmā."

Hare Krsna Mantra Is Not Ordinary Sound

(Just like we are speaking. This is also sound, but this is para sound, uttama sound, para-prakṛti. Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra is not ordinary sound; it is para-prakṛti) 🙏💖

"So what is the . . . "Yes, I am prepared that 'What is that guru?' There are two kinds of sounds. Just like we are speaking. This is also sound, but this is para sound, uttama sound, para-prakṛti. Impossible To Calculate Krsna's Opulence

(It is said that Ananta, Anantadeva, Śeṣaśāyī Anantadeva, He has got thousands and thousands of hoods, and He is chanting, describing about Kṛṣṇa, in ananta, unlimited mouths, for unlimited time—it is still unable) 🙏💖

"We do not know what is actually opulence. Aiśvaryasya samāgrasya. What is Kṛṣṇa's opulence, it is impossible to calculate. It is said that Ananta, Anantadeva, Śeṣaśāyī Anantadeva, He has got thousands and thousands of hoods, and He is chanting, describing about Kṛṣṇa, in ananta, unlimited mouths, for unlimited time—it is still unable. Advaitam acyutam anādim ananta-rūpam ādyaṁ purāṇa-puruṣaṁ nava-yauvanaṁ ca."

(But Kṛṣṇa can perform unlimited mystic powers through His devotee. This is Kṛṣṇa's activity. A devotee never takes the credit of any wonderful thing) 🙏💖

"That is first-class yogī. You want yogic power, mystic power, but if you keep Kṛṣṇa within your core of heart, naturally by the grace of Kṛṣṇa, you can perform all . . . Not the devotee can perform. Devotee is simply dependent on Kṛṣṇa. But Kṛṣṇa can perform unlimited mystic powers through His devotee. This is Kṛṣṇa's activity. A devotee never takes the credit of any wonderful thing. But it is a fact. What wonderful thing we can play? Kṛṣṇa can do that."

(As I feel pains and pleasure on account of some disturbance on this body, similarly, as soon as we create some disturbance with this universal atmosphere, the supreme consciousness is disturbed) 🙏💖

"As I have got my consciousness all over this body, similarly, the superconsciousness is there all over the universe. As I feel pains and pleasure on account of some disturbance on this body, similarly, as soon as we create some disturbance with this universal atmosphere, the supreme consciousness is disturbed. That disturbance is going on.

Therefore, in spite of all arrangement . . . pūrṇam idaṁ pūrṇam adaḥ pūrṇāt pūrṇam udacyate (Īśopaniṣad, Invocation). That, by God's creation, everything is complete. There is no flaw. But because we are creating disturbances, the world situation is different. We are creating disturbances. By God's creation, everything is nice. Everything is fine.

Take, for example, within this planet there is sufficient place to grow food for all the populati

THE DISCOURSE BETWEEN THE CHAND KAZI AND LORD CAITANYA MAHAPRABHU
No one should perform saṅkīrtana on the streets of the city. Today I am excusing the offense and returning home. The next time I see someone performing such saṅkīrtana, I shall certainly chastise him by not only confiscating ALL HIS PROPERTY but also converting him INTO A MUSLIM.
After saying this, the Kazi returned home, and the devotees, greatly shocked that they were forbidden to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, submitted their grief to Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Lord Caitanya ordered, Go perform saṅkīrtana! Today I shall KILL ALL THE MUSLIMS. Understanding the anxiety within the people’s minds, the Lord called them together and spoke to them as follows.
In the evening I shall perform saṅkīrtana in each and every town. Therefore you should all decorate the city in the evening. In the evening, burn torchlights in every home. I shall give protection to everyone. Let us see what kind of Kazi com

(Kṛṣṇa also came for the same purpose: to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Ya idaṁ paramaṁ guhyaṁ mad-bhakteṣv abhidhāsyati (BG 18.68). And Caitanya Mahāprabhu also came for the same purpose: to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness. So if we follow their footsteps and be fully engaged in spreading Kṛṣṇa consciousness, then immediately we become liberated) 🙏💖

"Similarly, if we take our cause very seriously, our . . . What is our cause? That is explained by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Our this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement means to serve Kṛṣṇa. That is explained by Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī:

īhā yasya harer dāsyekarmaṇā manasā vacānikhilāsv apy avasthāsujīvan-muktaḥ sa ucyate(Bhakti-rasāmṛta-sindhu 1.2.187)

If you become fully absorbed in the thought of serving Kṛṣṇa, īhāĪhā means complete absorption in the thought, "How I shall serve Kṛṣṇa?" What is serving Kṛṣṇa? That is explained by Kṛṣṇa, that He . . . We can see from his practical behavior, ācāraṇa. Not only His ācāraṇa, behavior, but later on, His incarnati

Devotees Not Disturbed by Material World

(Try to become Kṛṣṇa conscious, and then you'll not be disturbed with all these external, ephemeral changes of the material world) 🙏💖

"That means, spiritual progress means, he's making progress towards eternal life. Spiritual life means eternal, blissful life of knowledge. That is spiritual life. So here is the recommendation. Try to become Kṛṣṇa conscious, and then you'll not be disturbed with all these external, ephemeral changes of the material world.

Not only of this body, practically . . . practically one who is advanced in spiritual life, he's not agitated by the so-called political upheavals or social disturbances. No. He knows these are simply external, ephe . . . just like in the dream. It is also a dream. The . . . our present existence, it is also dream, exactly like we dream at night. In dreaming, we create so many things.

So this material world is also a gross dreaming. Gross dreaming. That is subtle dreaming, and this is gross dreaming. That is the action of the mind, body,

Material Sky Is Also Part Of Spiritual Sky

(Similarly, the unlimited sky, spiritual sky, and some portion of it, when it is covered by mahat-tattva, or a spiritual cloud, the portion which is covered, it is called material sky) 🙏💖

"We have been discussing about the transcendental world. The transcendental world is above this material sky. The material sky is also a part of the transcendental sky, or spiritual sky—it is covered only. This thing we have already explained. Just like the sky, some part of the sky is covered by cloud.

The cloud cannot cover the whole sky. That is not possible. That is not in the power of the cloud. Only insignificant portion of the cloud, er, sky, is covered by cloud. Similarly, the unlimited sky, spiritual sky, and some portion of it, when it is covered by mahat-tattva, or a spiritual cloud, the portion which is covered, it is called material sky."

No Rival In The Spiritual Sky

(But in the spiritual sky there is no rival. In the spiritual sky the Supreme Lord is the Supreme. And those who wanted to become rival, they are put into this material sky, under condition of the material nature. This is the difference between spiritual sky and material sky) 🙏💖

"So there, in the spiritual sky, there are spiritual planets, and on each planet the Lord is manifested. There are innumerable planets. So here it is, that information is given in the Bhagavad-gītā, that puruṣaḥ sa paraḥ pārtha: "That spiritual sky, the predominating Personality of Godhead is transcendental."

Just like here, in every country, in every planet, there is a predominating personality. In your country, the predominating personality is President Johnson. Similarly, in every country there is a predominating personality. Similarly, every planet there is a predominating personality. So the same system is there also. But there is no rival. Puruṣaḥ sa paraḥ pārtha. There, the Personality of Godhead, there is

Vaisnava Philosophical School

(We belong to the Vaiṣṇava philosophical school. Vaiṣṇava. Vaiṣṇava means we want to worship God as He is, and we keep our separate identity eternally to serve Him) 🙏💖

"So there are different kinds of liberations. Now, any one, any of these five kinds of liberations you can have. But out of the five, the sāyujya-mukti, or the liberation by becoming merged into the existence of the Supreme, is not accepted by the Vaiṣṇava philosopher. We belong to the Vaiṣṇava philosophical school. Vaiṣṇava. Vaiṣṇava means we want to worship God as He is, and we keep our separate identity eternally to serve Him. That is Vaiṣṇava philosophy.

And the Māyāvāda philosophy and impersonalist philosophy is that they want to close their individual identity and merge into the existence of the Supreme. Now, here Lord Kṛṣṇa does not advise you . . . that is a suicidal policy. That policy is neither recommended by Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, in the Bhagavad-gītā, neither the Vaiṣṇava philosophers they

Krsna Is Not Far Away

(Kṛṣṇa is not far away. Kṛṣṇa is everywhere. But He's still nearer. He is within your heart) 🙏💖

"If you actually come in contact with Kṛṣṇa, and Kṛṣṇa is within your heart . . . Kṛṣṇa is not far away. Kṛṣṇa is everywhere. But He's still nearer. He is within your heart. Īśvaraḥ sarva . . . so if you become attached to Kṛṣṇa . . . when Kṛṣṇa sees now you are attached to Kṛṣṇa, then hṛdy antaḥ-stho abhadrāṇi vidhunoti suhṛt satām (SB 1.2.17). He is friend of the devotees. He's friend of everyone, but a special friend of the devotees. Suhṛt satām. Therefore you have to become a devotee.

Therefore it is said, na yujyamānayā bhaktyā. Bhaktyā means devotee. Who performs devotional service unless he's a devotee? Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad-gītā, bhaktyā mām abhijānāti (BG 18.55). So if we become devotee, if we take to devotional service, then Kṛṣṇa says, teṣām evānukampārtham (BG 10.11), "For special favor." Special favor. What is that? Teṣām evānukampārtham aham ajñāna-jaṁ tamaḥ nāśayāmi. Kṛṣṇa

Your Eternal Right

(Because you have got the right to have that prerogative. You have got the right. Therefore you want. You are eternal. You are blissful. You are full of knowledge. Simply you are covered by this material entanglement; therefore you have forgotten yourself) 🙏💖

"Now, suppose if you are placed in some country where you can understand that "In this country I'll have no more death, no more miseries, no more old age, no more disease," will you not be happy? Suppose you are transferred to a country where these things are available. Oh, yes, I shall . . . I must be happy. If I can get some place where going I'll have not to die again or not to become old and not to have any diseases, oh, certainly I shall accept it.

That is my desire, heart's desire. I want. I want that. Why you want that? Because you have got the right to have that prerogative. You have got the right. Therefore you want. You are eternal. You are blissful. You are full of knowledge. Simply you are covered by this material entang

(Because we are spiritual energy. We are . . . the same energy. We are seeking after the same energy) 🙏💖

"Daivī prakṛti means they are no more interested with this material world. They are interested with the spiritual energy. Because we are spiritual energy. We are . . . the same energy. We are seeking after the same energy. Just like water can mix with water. Oil cannot mix with water. If you put a drop of oil with water, the oil will remain separate. But if you put a drop of water with water, immediately mixes.

Similarly, we are spirit soul. As soon as we are in the spiritual world, in spiritual activities, then we are one. There is no discordance. There is no opposing elements. But so long we exist in the material world, everything opposing. Everything opposing. Therefore it is struggle. Struggle for existence. Suppose if you are thrown into the sea, however expert swimmer you may be, it is struggle. It is struggle for existence. But if you are on the land, there is no such struggle.

(You can have a permanent life, permanent dress, permanent knowledge if you become free from this dress-changing problem. That is called mukti. The Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is to stop this business of dress-changing) 🙏💖

Prabhupāda: "Try to understand: You are now in my presence dressed in a certain type of covering. Now, if you change this covering, does it mean you are finished?"

Indian man: "No, sir."

Prabhupāda: "Similarly, this body, this material body, has been explained as dress. So if I change my dress . . . now, suppose I am now human being and I change my dress to become a demigod, or I change my dress to become a dog. It does not mean that I am finished. I have simply changed my dress, according to my karma. Karmaṇā daiva-netreṇa jantur deha upapatti (SB 3.31.1).
