Nanda Baba didn't ask for an ordinary son, nor did he even ask to have Bhagavan as his son, but he asked only for bhagavat - bhakti . This is the proper yearning - begging for bhakti, for prema. The acharyas in our sampradaya don't consider that obtaining Krsna is the ultimate objective; they consider that obtaining krsna-prema is the ultimate objective . Especially the krsna-prema of the Vrajavasis, and within that, specially the prema of the gopis.
