"Unless one practices devotional service himself, he cannot teach it to others. This conclusion is indeed confirmed throughout the Gita and Bhagavatam."

Bhakti Rasamrta Sindhu 1.1.11

One should render [uninterrupted] transcendental loving devotional service exclusively for the pleasure of Lord Sri Krsna without any desire for material profit or gain through philosophical speculation or fruitive activities.
Any other desires or activities executed - such as looking to obtain money for our own materialistic purposes, looking for position, name/fame - which are outside of the realm of pure devotional service rendered exclusively for the pleasure of Krsna constitutes (compromised) devotional service mixed with other motive.

'As stated in the scriptures, worship of my devotee (Nitai) is higher than My own (Gaur) worship since it is only Nitai who comes to the rescue of those hopeless lost forever souls rejected by Gaur what to speak of Radha Krishna. Nitai independently gives them pure love without being scared of His younger brother Gaur. Gaur is then forced to give His mercy to those souls too because Nitai has already accepted them, like in the case of Jagai and Madhai.'

THE BRAHMANA PROJECT

'THE BRAHMANA PROJECT ; The Brahmana accepts a life of relative poverty and spiritual scholasticism, the better to set a good example and provide clear objective directions towards a better human order. In Krsna Book, charity was constantly being given to them, and they in turn distributed benefits also to others. I know of many brahmanas who receive never a penny in charity, yet they are living lives of dire poverty, illness, isolation. Why is this? Why are fools pouring their hard earned cash into the coffers of fat jet-set gurus living like kings while real kings are oppressed and treated less than dogs? This is madness! I am starting a list of poverty stricken and ill devotees who need help. More as we go along, but names may be submitted to Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON, SPIRITNET. Big donations are requested; we will need hundreds of thousands of dollars, a mere fraction of the millions blown on huge temples and put in the hands of Srila Prabhupada's murderers.'

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati; 422.How does a genuine disciple think?(p.338)

For the genuine devotee of a spiritual master, the genuine disciple, the spiritual master is his entire life, his ideal. His vow is to serve the spiritual master, and though he adores both Krishna and the spiritual master equally, he gives special preference to his spiritual master.9468782699?profile=original

Srila Prabhupada – “Because you are part and parcel of God, God has got full independence, but you have got little independence, proportionately, because you are part and parcel”
Acyutananda – “But in the Gita, it says, “Once coming there (Vaikuntha), he never returns.”

Sri Ramanujacharya's Life History (By Sri Ubhaya Vedantha Anbil Ramaswamy)

Sri Ramanuja (1017 – 1137 CE), the most important philosopher-saint of Sri Vaishnavam and one of the most dynamic characters of Hinduism. He was a philosophical as well as a social reformer, displaying a catholicity that was nearly unparalleled in Hindu religious history before him. He revitalised Indian philosophy and popular religion so much that nearly every aspect of Hinduism has been influenced by his work. His life and works show a truly unique personality, combining contemplative insight, logical acumen, catholicity, charismatic energy, and selfless dedication to God.

The less known fact even among Srivaishnavas about this well known Acharya by whose name Srivaishnava philosophy is called 'Ramanuja Darsanam' and who is hailed as "Sri Vaishnava Siddhanta Nirdhaarana Saarva bouma" is that he was a 'Vadama' by birth.(Authority :" Periya Thrumudi Adaivu, Pazhanadai Vilakkam and Visishtaadvaita Catechism" – quot

CALL TO CIVIL WAR!!

"Our only strength is chanting Hare Krishna Maha-mantra. So if we stick to the principle of chanting Hare Krishna Mantra, following the rules and regulations, that will give us strength to work on both sides - namely to enlighten people in Krishna Consciousness and cut down the bad government full of atheistic people." SP Letter to Madhudvisa Maharaja 15 September, 1971

verse 11 of Sri Isopanisad explains; “Only one who can learn the process of nescience and that of transcendental knowledge side by side can transcend the influence of repeated birth and death and enjoy the full blessings of immortality.”

My sincere apologies for being rather inactive  - but I've come on here and had a look at the post/video on Krishnacore. The link below might be of interest - I talk with Vraja Kishore (Vic Dicara) and Ray Cappo via email - and I'm looking to eventually write a book on the movement. I would sincerely love your thoughts.

Hope all well with you....... the site is lovely!

9468787881?profile=originalThere once was an elderly couple living in the mountains. They were of simple means, yet were extremely devoted and pious. The man would sit every morning at the small temple in their home and read passages from the Bhagavad Gita. The couple’s grandson, who was completely enamored with his grandfather, lived with them. The young boy would emulate everything his grandfather did.

One day, the boy came, sat down in his grandfather’s lap, and said, “Grandfather, I see you read the Bhagavad Gita every morning and I see the way your eyes fill with tears. I have heard you tell so many people that the Gita has changed your life. So, I have also started to try to read the Gita, but I do not understand it. If I do understand a small passage of it, in just a few short hours I have already forgotten what I read.” The old man simply said, “Do not worry, my child, if you understand it or not. Just keep reading it.” So, the boy did as he was instructed. However, a few weeks later he again came, sat on

Once there was a saint who lived in the Himalayan forests. He lived in an
ashram deep in a beautiful jungle where he spent his time in meditation
and looking after the ashram.

Once a traveler came upon the saint and the ashram while trekking through
the Himalayas. The young man started talking to the saint about the
spiritual life. The young tourist asked him, “What did you do before you
became enlightened?”
The saint replied, “I used to chop wood and carry water from the well.”
The man then asked, “What do you do now that you have become enlightened?”
The answer was simple. The saint replied, “I chop wood and carry
water from the well.”

The young man was puzzled. He said, “There seems to be no difference
then. What was the point in going through all those years of sadhana in
order to attain enlightenment if you still spend your days doing chores
and menial tasks?”

The Master replied, “The difference is in me. The difference is not in my
acts, it is in me. Because I have changed, all my a

Sripad Aindra Dasa Appearance

Aindra Prabhu was born in Virginia, U.S.A in 1953 in an artistic family. His father played bluegrass music, his mother the harp, his brother the bass, and he himself took to the guitar—as well as other instruments and crafts. He happened to meet the devotees in Washington D. C. in the summer of 1973 while they were out on street sankirtana. Aindra Prabhu eagerly joined in, followed them back to the temple, and moved in more or less right away. A few months later, on Nityananda Trayodasi, he was initiated into the Gaudiya-sampradaya and given the name Aindra Dasa by Srila Prabhupada.

In retrospect, one can easily conclude that Aindra Prabhu was steadiness personified. He first began Deity service in Washington D. C. in 1974, continued that service on the Radha-Damodara Traveling Sankirtana Party, then in New York City until 1986, and since then in Vrindavan. Indeed, he left his body while preparing to cook for his Deities in July 2010, and he surrendered his last breath at the lotus fee
