Papamocani Ekadasi, observed on April 6, 2013 , from the Bhavishya-uttara Purana.
Sri Yudhisthira Maharaja said, "Oh Supreme Lord, I have heard from You the explanation of Amalakii Ekadasiii which occurs during the light fortnight of the month of Phalguna (February-March), and now I wish to hear about the ekadasii that occurs during the dark fortnight of the month of Chaitra (March-April). What is its name, Oh Lord, and what results can one attain by observing it?"
The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, replied, "O best of kings, for the benefit of everyone I shall gladly describe to you the glories of this ekadasii, which is known as Papamochanii. The history of this ekadasii was once narrated to the Emperor Mandhata by Lomasa Rishi. King Mandhata addressed the Rishi, 'Oh great sage, for the benefit of all people, please tell me the name of the ekadasii that occurs during the dark fortnight of the month of Chaitra, and please explain the process for observing it. Our Remarkable Godbrother - An Appreciation of Gour Govinda Maharaja

It was thirty-five years ago, and today my memory is a bit vague, but I recall the incident went something like this.
The Meeting
Vrindavana, 1974-5: It might have been the always-blissful English brahmachary Gunarnava or maybe the philosophical Scottish devotee Smara Hari who approached me with the news. “Hey, Patit,” he called, “A sadhu just asked Shrila Prabhupada for initiation.” “Wow, good luck to that Maharaja,” I chuckled pessimistically. After all, we had both been Prabhupada’s disciples for a number of years, and had been in India long enough to know that most sadhus preferred to keep their distance from us “phoren bhaktas”.
Sure, most of the yogis and renunciates appreciated the fact that we were doing our level best, but they were reticent about mingling; maybe rightfully so. There were the wild rumors that we were foreign spies, or that we had strange parties into the night

Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu quoted the following sloka from the Vishnu Puran in support of His real conception of universal Brotherhood so anxiously imagined by the diplomats, politicians and leaders of the human society. There is a gulf of difference between such conception made by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu the idol of the Vaishnavite cult and that of others of the groups of Duskritina, Mudha, Maya Apahrita Jnana and Ashurabhabamaspla.
The sloka, as it was set up in the issue of 5th April 1956 of 'Back to Godhead,' runs as follows:—

Samadhi-Bhajan Kutir Issue
We recently received the following e-mail from Krishnagati Das prabhu:
Dear Maharaj/Prabhuji’s,
Kindly accept my humble pranam. Hope, this letter find your goodself in good health & blissful mood of Krishna Consciousness.
It is for your information that our National Highway problem is settled with the understanding that the sewerage line shall go outside of the temple chandan pond and drainage (rain water) shall go near the Chandan Kunda. This solution was acceptable to both N.H. authority and ISKCON, Bhubaneswar. This agreement was reached by much of effort given by Sripad Bijay Sahoo, President, Reliance industries (H.R.) and Mr. Sudhir babu, Coordinator, Reliance industries (H.R.). The Bhajan Kutirs of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva (Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Swami) are totally safe. We are planning to errect a
"Somebody was criticizing me that "Swamiji, you are introducing this Hare Kṛṣṇa movement. People are becoming coward. They simply chant Hare Kṛṣṇa." So I replied that "You will see the power of Hare Kṛṣṇa movement in due course of time." He required... Because there were two battles in India: the battle between Rāvaṇa and Rāma, Rāma-Rāvaṇa, the battle of Rāmāyaṇa; and another battle was Battle of Kurukṣetra. And in these two battles the hero was Vaiṣṇava and Viṣṇu. In the Rāma-Rāvaṇa battle Lord Rāmacandra was there and His devotee Hanumān, Vajrāṅgajī. Similarly, in the Battlefield of Kurukṣetra, Kṛṣṇa was there and His devotee Arjuna was there. So Vaiṣṇavas, they do not simply chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. If there is need, they can fight under the guidance of Viṣṇu and become victorious. A Vaiṣṇava's one qualification is... Out of the twenty-six qualifications, one qualification is dakṣa,expert. If there is need of fighting, they can fight like very expert. That is also needed. Kṛṣṇa consciousne
SRI CAITANYA BHAGAVATA
Adi Lila Chapter 3.
1. Even before He took his birth, the Lord propagated the chanting of His holy name.
2. Streams of people went for their bath in the Ganga at the time of the eclipse and all the way they chanted the Lord's name.
3. Some, who from their birth never once uttered the Lord's name, now chanted that name on their way to the Ganga.
4. The sound of chanting emanated from every direction and the Supreme Lord, the best of the brahmins, smiled to Himself as He made His appearance.
5. Sri Jagannatha Misra and Srimati Sacidevi glanced at their child's beautiful face and were over come with unbounded joy.
6. Ladies stood around the child not knowing what to do; fussily they ululated in jubilation.
7. Relatives and friends hurried to see the new born child; Sri Jagannatha Misra's house was a scene of great exultation.
8. Srimati Sacidevi's father, Sri Nilambara Cakravarti, found esoteric and wonderful signs in every house of the child's astrological chart.

Prabhu Nityananda, Shri Krsna Chaitanya
Aug 10, '07 CALGARY—
One day, our dear Nimai Pandita decided to take a stroll in Navadwipa. At this time in His pastimes, He was still living at home and involved in learning, teaching, and debate. In fact, His incredible scholarship was becoming well known throughout the entire region. His arguments were unmatcheable, and many lesser scholars were soundly defeated by Viswambhara's lucid and impeccable debating abilities. His fame spread throughout the lands.
Walking along the avenue, Nimai could see Mukunda Prabhu, a great scholar in his own right, and a devotee of Krishna, and Nimai's friend, coming up the same road, towards Him. The Lord was looking forward to meeting Mukunda. Suddenly, however, Mukunda turned up a side street, apparently in order to avoid meeting the Lord.
Mukunda was a Vaisnava, and he felt some dissatisfaction debating Nimai on so many points not directly related to devotional service. He did not wish to be further invo

Question 1: How can one hear harikathā in the association of devotees when one is residing far away from them?
Answer: In our maṭhas, harikathā is being delivered all the time and everyone there is engaged in hari-seva. It is our foremost duty that, by all means, we should associate with devotees whose life and soul is service. Staying in a place where harikathā is absent is absolutely undesirable, even if that place is very comfortable and we are surrounded by loved ones. I am able to contemplate the special mercy of Mahāprabhu when I witness at every moment that, by the grace of Bhagavān, the topics of Śrī Hari are being discussed and everyone here is exhibiting the inclination toward divine service.
Those gentlemen who desire true welfare should visit the maṭha on occasion and listen to harikathā from śrī guru and the Vaiṣṇavas. Our taste for hearing harikathā and our inclination to serve Śrī Hari s

"I offer my respectful obeisances unto Sri Jagannatha dasa Babaji Maharaja, who is respected by the entire Vaisnava community and who discovered the place where Lord Caitanya appeared."
Sri Jagannatha Dasa Babaji Maharaja was born around the year 1800 AD.
in the Mayamansingh district of West Bengal. Not much is known about his ealry life. Gaudiya Vedanta-acharya Sri Baladeva Vidyabhushana had a disciple named Uddhava das. His disciple was Sri Madhusudana Dasa Babaji who lived in Suryakunda and it was from Madhusudana Dasa Babaji that Jagannatha Dasa Babaji Maharaja took initiation.
Jagannatha Dasa Babaji lived in Vrindavan and performed his bhajan there for quite some time. He became famous among the devotees there as one who was perfect in Krishna-bhakti.
He first met Bhakti Vinoda Thakura around 1880 AD and was inspired hi
Rinse and clean one cup dry whole chick peas, then soak overnight covered at least a couple of inches over their top, in water with some salt. When ready to start the next day, cook them in the same water for about an hour at low-medium heat in a deep pot, until soft. When they squash easily with a fork, they are cooked. Be sure to cook them until soft, not hard or firm.
Clean, remove all seeds, and cut up one large gourd or any nice firm orange squash, so that one has about three cups of medium size pieces, about an inch cubed pieces.
Once the chick peas are cooked unil soft, be sure there is enough water to just cover the top of them, then add three tablespoons butter or ghee, two tablesopons oil, and the cut up squash pieces.
Add one half teaspoon salt, one half teaspoon black pepper,
Add one teaspoon each of premixed Madras curry power, mixed Tikka curry powder, and premixed any other type of curry powder.
Add one tablespoon brown sugar, one tablespoon of cut and chopped fresh
Lord Shiva has a very unique and significant position in the cosmic manifestation. In fact Lord Shiva is the most powerful, second only to Lord Vishnu. Shiva is an expansion of Lord Krishna. Revealed scriptures explain that Krishna has 64 qualities. Lord Brahma posses 78% of these qualities and Lord Shiva possesses 84% of these qualities. Since living entities are also like Brahma so they also possess 78% of these qualities but in lesser extent. None of them possess all 100%.
Srila Prabhupada explains, “The living being can never possess attributes like Shiva, Vishnu or Lord Krishna. A living being can become godly by developing the seventy-eight-percent transcendental attributes in fullness, but he can never become a God like Shiva, Vishnu or Krishna. He can become a Brahma in due course: - Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.28 purport”
Lord Shiva has connection with the material nature but Lord Vishnu (or Lord Krishna) is transcendental to material nature. The position of Lord
