Devotees may of course mediatate on the Form of their love, such as Gopal and Radha Krsna. 
The purpose of Srimad Bhagavatam 1.16.12 was totally changed by Ramesvara and Tamal Krsna against Srila Prabhupada's instructions in a new printing of Srimad Bhagavatam in early 1978.

They made this change without informing the devotee community so that everyone would believe that these were Srila Prabhupada's original words, which is not true, it is a big deception, a big lie.

The purport of SB 1.16.12 was totally changed in the 1978 edition of Srimad Bhagavatam.

Ramesvara answered my question about this change two or three years ago and told me that Srila Prabhupada authorized this change so that this purport would coincide with the Fifth Canto.

This is a big lie because the changes introduced are totally contrary to Srila Prabhupada's teachings, even the most recent ones on July 2-3 and 5, 1977, four months before his departure.

Naturally, Ramesvara has no documentary evidence, recording or writing, to prove such so-called authorization.

One can renounce the world and go to Mathura or Vrndavana, worship the land, the residents, chant Hare Krsna, purty much give up eating and sleeping, and of course never indulge any illicit activities. Sri Vrndavana dhama is the most exalted of Vaisnava dhamas. Sri Krsna is there, with us at every second.

One may reside there, if they are fully self-controlled, and can live a life of full concentration and determination in service. One is in a bad status if they engage in illicit activity there, or become familiar and offensive to others..

Prabhupada: Any language, you should submit, and you should feel that, that:
"I am worthless. My Guru Maharaja has given this chance to serve Krsna, to offer Krsna... My Lord, I am worthless. I have no capacity to serve You. But on the order of my Guru Maharaja, I am trying to serve You. Please do not take any offense. Accept whatever I can do. That's all. That is my request."
That mantra is sufficient. Krsna says in the Bhagavad-gita, [Bg. 9.26].
[If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit or water, I will accept it.]

Lord Krsna loves all of you, Friends! He sees you search and your sufferings and He feels anguish to see His dear Friends in such a state. Srila Prabhupada told us so, came here to deliver us.
Sri Krsna is indeed everywhere and in all things. It means very little to him if you are in a black, white, red body, He created each and every one. Everyone is worthwhile has value, is a jewel of Govindas' creation. He misses your smiling exchange, your subtle nuances and laughter. Oh my Friends! There is a pure love awaiting you !
Yes, you can reattain happy eternal life! There is a homeland for you! There the land, that holiest of places, that natural warmth and happiness awaits again, also misses you, Vrndavana. You used to play so freely there, free of pain or anxieties, surrounded by eternal nature. Yes! We should all go back there.

“CHAPTER 77: IN DISGUISE (Cont.) -HOW CAN A DEVOTEE BE A “DEMON”? Simply because someone has the dress of a devotee, wears tilak, knows the walk and the talk, does not mean he cannot be capable of the crime of killing the spiritual master for his own material benefit. Rather than being a fantasy, it is accepted by many that agents of Kali entered ISKCON and conspired to assassinate Srila Prabhupada by poison.
His poisoners should be criminally indicted and tried in courts of law. The suspects should in any case "honorably" resign their posts when such a cloud of doubt covers their reputation, like is done in the honorable Japanese culture. Lord Rama banished Sita simply because of one person’s criticism; to be suspected of poisoning Srila Prabhupada is not a good qualification for continued leadership.

So you have earned so much millions and billions of money. That's all right. But you have to go empty-handed. The money will remain here. You cannot take that money within the tomb. That is not possible. Then it is zero. You are going empty-handed. You came empty-handed and going empty-handed. You came with zero and you are going with zero. So whatever you have earned, that is zero. But if you have attempted to serve Kṛṣṇa with all these zeros, then you have taken some value. Then Kṛṣṇa will see: "Oh, he has done so much for Me. for those of you who think the only way the bona fide disciplic succession can continue is by physical presence at all times of some qualified spiritual master… Better to see what Srila Prabhupada has to say about that. He only instructed us to go to one of the 11 he appointed to do the official formal ceremony but it would be on his behalf and he continues being the spiritual master in our line who is the one who is delivering us.
he never said we had to seek somebody else out to deliver us. They decided they wanted to do more than just the formal ceremony on behalf. That would've been very glorious if they had followed that instruction. But they decided they wanted to be little Srila Prabhupadas.
We are not to be concerned with any gaps regarding physical presence of the bona fide spiritual master. Following is a conversation by Srila Prabhupada.

Prabhupāda: Huh? No. If he's chanting the glories of God, we are very eager to hear him. That is our process. Or somebody's chanting, somebody's hearing. Śravaṇaṁ kīrtanaṁ viṣṇu [SB 7.5.23]. Chanting and hearing about God, that is music.

Prabhupāda: Yes. Everything we hear, it goes to the heart. If I call you by name, it does not go to my heart? "You rascal. You stupid." You hear. Does it not go to my heart? Why I become angry unless it goes to my heart? If "rascal," "stupid," and all these bad names goes to my heart, why God's name will not go to my heart? If by calling you by ill names you become angry, that means it goes to your heart. Why not good name? It goes. It enters through the ear and goes to the heart.
