KRSNA BOOK CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

While engaged with the brahmanas who were too much involved in the performance of Vedic sacrifices, Krishna and Balarama also saw that the cowherd men were preparing a similar sacrifice in order to pacify Indra, the King of heaven, who is responsible for supplying water.

As stated in the Caitanya-caritamrita, a devotee of Krishna has strong and firm faith in the understanding that if he is simply engaged in Krishna consciousness and Krishna’s transcendental loving service, then he is freed from all other obligations. A pure devotee of Lord Krishna doesn’t have to perform any of the ritualistic functions enjoined in the Vedas; nor is he required to worship any demigods. Being a devotee of Lord Krishna, one is understood to have performed all kinds of Vedic rituals and all kinds of worship to the demigods. One does not develop devotional service for Krishna by performing the Ved

BY HIS DIVINE GRACE A. C. BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI PRABHUPADA;

My advice to you under the circumstances is that at least for one hour you must all go to have sankirtana outside on the streets or in the park. That is your life and soul, first business. The next business is completing the chanting of 16 rounds every day. The next business is your editing. And if you find extra time then you can attend the temple ceremonies. Otherwise you can stop these activities. But outdoor kirtana, your editing work, and chanting of 16 rounds must be done. Outdoor kirtana must be done, even at the cost of suspending all editorial work. That is your first and foremost business. Temple worship is not so important. If need be, the whole temple can be locked. But the outdoor kirtana cannot be stopped. (Letter to Rayarama, 17 May 1969)

You came to me crying

Spoken by Dhruva's mother (SB 4.8.22):
"You came to me crying, having been insulted by your stepmother, but I am unable to do any good for you. But Kṛṣṇa is so kind to His devotees that if you go to Him, then the combined kindness of millions of mothers like me will be surpassed by His affectionate and tender dealings. When everyone else fails to mitigate one's misery, Kṛṣṇa is able to help the devotee."

Gavin Swinden‎ to Srila Prabhupada

Prabhupada " Then why do you love the soul? Because it is part and parcel of Kṛṣṇa. Therefore we love the soul. So ultimately, the love goes to Kṛṣṇa. This is natural feeling of love between Kṛṣṇa, or God, and between living entities, but the māyā is interrupting the relation. It is called illusion. The process of interruption is called illusion. Otherwise we, every one of us, we love Kṛṣṇa. Every one of us. You analyze, you see that ultimately goes to Kṛṣṇa. Therefore in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta it is said that nitya-siddha kṛṣṇa-bhakti: "The loving attitude of the living entity towards Kṛṣṇa is nitya-siddha." That is eternally fact. Not that we are preaching Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement, artificially we are creating some situation that a person may love Kṛṣṇa. No. That is not. That is not fact. We are cleansing the process which has covered our kṛṣṇa-bhakti. Śravaṇādi-śuddha-citte karaye udaya (CC Madhya 22.107). The love for Kṛṣṇa is there

Srila Prabhupada: " So this movement should be pushed very vigorously. And so far, we have become successful. And enemies will be always, as soon as there is something good. That is the way of material world. Even Krsna had enemies, what to speak of us. Eh? So many enemies, but He was powerful; He killed all them. Nobody could kill Him, but there was attempt to kill Him from the very beginning of His birth. He had so many enemies."
.
T dasa; Imagining that all is One and that all religions and everyone should be happy in that imaginary white-wash unfortunately will not work, as most of the world does not have such a vision. It has ALWAYS been Lord Narayana and His devotees pitted against a variety of cheats. It will almost NEVER be peaceful Vaikuntha down here, unless we the devotees help create some islands of safety and service harmony against a raging darkness.

So let us be realistic and practical in our thinking and actions. We have friends and we have enemies, recognize them

How To Defeat the "Not So Secret" Societies' New World Order Agenda

defeat_illuminati.jpg

 navigation-home.gif

The first conversation presented herein is from June 1976  in which Srila Prabhupada is asked about the world bankers' conspiracy to secretly manipulate and ultimately rule the world by dictatorship. Prabhupada replies that this is an open secret; in this degraded age those who have [print and thus control] money have all power to make conspiracy or anything, whatever they like.

In the next conversation, from January 1977, Srila Prabhupada reveals the solution: by establishing independent, God conscious, self-sufficient farm communities, we will bring about the collapse of this cheating, artificial way of banking, ultimately disempowering the Illuminati's demoniac New World Order agenda.

The Principle is No Change

“One should accept the instructions of the Supreme Personality of Godhead by bowing down at the lotus feet of the Lord. This means that anything spoken by the Personality of Godhead should be taken as it is, with great care and attention and with great respect. It is not our business to amend the words of the Supreme Personality of Godhead or make additions or alterations, as it has become a custom for many so-called scholars and swamis who comment on the words of Bhagavad-gita. Here the practical example of how to accept the instruction of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is shown by Prthu Maharaja. This is the way to receive knowledge through the parampara system.” (Purport SB 4.20.17)

The people of Croatia believe their roots are from Persia, Iran, their original name, Harvat, seems to come from the Harahvaita of Iran. According to academia Croat comes from Xrovat (Hrovat) which comes from the Slavic Xorvat (Horvat) which comes from the Indo/Slavic Xarwat (Harvat) and this is ultimately traced to Persia and the name Harahvaiti. Harahvaiti however is the corrupted name for the great Vedic Goddess Sarasvati, the mother of Sanskrit, the great river of the Rig Veda and the Goddess of learning.

The Persians have a tendency to replace a Sanskrit S with a Persian H, and so the word Harahvaiti is actually Sarasvaiti which is Sarasvati. An example of this tendency can be seen in their word for week which is Hapta, an obvious corruption of the Sanskrit Sapta meaning the same. Their name for the Sun is Hvar which is once again a corruption of the Sanskrit Svar

Love the words of Sridhar swami

Julie Cluer's photo.

This plane of aggrandisement and exploitation cannot be the be-all and end-all of existence. “Exploit others and live.” That is suicidal in itself. Daily, civilisation and science are increasing the circumference of extortion of power from nature, taking a loan from nature, and that must be paid to the farthing. “To every action there is equal and opposite reaction.” This civilisation, wholesale, is a negative one. It is on debt from nature, and this debt must be paid back to the farthing.

(Śrīmad Bhāgavatam: 1.13.47)

To maintain one body, thousands of bodies are to be sacrificed, and then only one body can stand. This is a filthy conception of life. It is suicidal in itself. So, this is no civilisation. It is not life. It a hateful form of life: at the cost of other beings, we are to maintain ourselves. “Thousands of lives must be sacrificed to maintain one.” This is a hateful conception of life. It is th

Sri Viracandra Prabhu Appearance

9468791491?profile=original

Sri Viracandra or Virabhadra Prabhu appeared on the ninth day of the dark fortnight of the month of Kartik. Krsna dasa Kaviraja Gosvami has given this description of Him in the C.c. Adi 11.8-12.

"After Nityananda Prabhu, the greatest branch is Virabhadra Gosani, who also has innumerable branches and sub-branches. It is not possible to describe them all. Although Virabhadra Gosani was the Supreme Personality of Godhead, He presented Himself as a great devotee. And although the Supreme Godhead is transcendental to all Vedic injunctions, He strictly followed the Vedic rituals. He is the main pillar in the hall of devotional service erected by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. He knew within himself that He acted as the Supreme Lord Visnu, but externally He was prideless. It is by the mercy of Sri Virabhadra Gosani that people all over the world now have the chance to chant the names of Caitanya and Nityananda. I there take shelter of the lotus feet of Virabhadra Gosani so that by His mercy my grea

Bhattacarya: ‘Swamiji, I want to tell you something. In Vrindavan temple, they are having your deity on the altar. And all kinds of people are coming and praying to it, and offering flowers to it, and you are still living. According to Pancaratra, when the Acarya is living, if he puts his deity on the altar, then all the sufferings people are having come to his body through the deity. So you please tell your disciples to worship your deity only after you leave your body.’

He was speaking as if he was giving some information to Prabhupada, which Prabhupada did not note.

Prabhupada: ‘I know. I came here to take their suffering.’

Bhattacarya was shocked. He was not giving any new information. This was well known to Prabhupada; and he was determined to suffer for others.

Prabhupada: ‘Do you have anything else to say?’

Bhattacarya: ‘Swamiji, if that is your wish, what can I say? I am only a priest.’

Prabhupada: ‘Even when I leave, I will keep continuing taking their suffering, and make them

Radha Kunda Prakat, Snan Dan – The appearance anniversary of Radha- kunda, the bathing pond of Srimati Radharani in Vrndavana. Devotees bathe there especially on midnight of this day.

"After the killing of Aristasura, Srimati Radhika and Her sakhis exchanged many joking words with Sri Krsna concerning the necessary atonement for one who has committed the offence of killing a bull. As a result, the Queen of Vrindavana, Srimati Radhika, and Her sakhis joyfully excavated and filled Sri Radha-kunda with their own hands. May that immensely fragrant Radha-kunda be my shelter.

"In the land of the hearts of those who bathe in Radha-kunda, a desire tree of the superlative prema, which is not attainable even for Krsna's principal queens in Dvaraka, will arise. May that supremely charming Radha-kunda be my shelter.

"For the pleasure of Srimati Radhika, even Sri Krsna Himself, yearning to attain Her merciful sidelong glance, regularly bathes in Radha-kunda, carefully observing all the appropriate ri

Bahulastami

The appearance day of Radha-kunda and Syama-kunda, sacred ponds that are the bathing places of Srimati Radharani and Lord Krsna in Vrndavana.

On the eighth day of the waning phase of the damodara month the appearance day of Radha Kunda is celebrated by the residents. Bathing in Radha Kunda is especially benefical on this day. By this one gains the favor of Radha, by which one gains the favor of Krsna. Radha Kunda appeared at midnight. People go to Radha Kunda and offer prasadam, garlands and pumkins (gords) into the water, then at midnight take bath in Radha Kunda and then bathe in Syama Kunda. Many people like to bathe at a ghat where Lord Nityananda's sakti, Jahnava Mata used to bathe. But wherever you go you better get there early as thousands of people/devotees will be there. And bring some warm clothing for afterwards, as it is sooooo "cooling".

The holy place known as Mathura is spiritually superior to Vaikuntha, the transcendental world, because the Lord appeared there. Superior t

Jaiva-dharma (The Universal Religion)

by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur

Hearing this, Lahiri Mahasaya said, "You have given me great faith in the eternal religion. The Vaishnava religion is very close to the eternal religion. That is my belief. I am not convinced that the Vaishnava religion is completely identical with the eternal religion. Therefore I ask you to tell me what you think of all this. Vaishnava dasa babaji then said: "In this material world two different religions are called by the name the Vaishnava religion. One is the pure Vaishnava religion and the other is the contaminated Vaishnava religion. The pure Vaishnava religion is one, although it is divided into four according to the different rasas. Thus there is the Vaishnava religion in servitorship (dasya), a Vaishnava religion in friendship (sakhya), a Vaishnava religion in parental love (vatsalya), and a Vaishnava religion in conjugal love (madhurya). Still, the pure Vaishnava religion is one. It is not

Śrī Nityānanda Prabhu

by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda

Only those who are cognizant of the true nature of Śrī Kṛṣṇa are fit to instruct others in the knowledge of Him. The divine paraphernalia are the gurus of all individual souls. In this sense, the six categories described previously are identical with the guru. It can be so because of the fact that on the plane of the Absolute, there is no separative difference. On that perfectly wholesome plane, there is distinction without difference. But, the guru’s function must be considered as distinct from that of any of the other categories, although it is simultaneously non-different from those categories.

One who neglects to seek the special favour of the guru while trying to enter into the relation of discipleship with the spiritual guide will miss entry to the spiritual plane. Śrī Nityānanda is the primary, manifest constituent of Divinity. Śrī Nityānanda alone possesses the dis

Narottama Dasa Thakura

Appearing as the son of a king, Shri Narottama Dasa Thakura (Shri Thakura Mahasaya) showed all the bodily symptoms of a mahapurusha (an exalted divine person). He had long arms, a deep navel, golden-complexioh, beautiful eyes shaped like the lotus petals. In school, he was a sruti dhara (able to memorize whatever he hears) Although he quickly mastered Sanskrit and the Vedas, he hankered to serve Krishna. He was a lifelong brahmachari.
