This was read in August of 1977, his jyotish, just a few months before he left his body. In his chart it said, "You will live for six more years if you can live for the next six months. But watch out over the next six months, you will have some danger from juniors and subordinates, meaning the leaders, the people around you, they could be very dangerous." So Prabhupada makes a reference here to the jyotish, and in the jyotish there's a warning about his leaders being a potential cause of his death over the next six months. [2003 Update: The Astrology chart of Srila Prabhupada indeed confirms that there is a warning about his life being cut short due to some dangerous activities from some of his "juniors and subordinates," his leaders. The chart says that he will live, but only essentially if "the subordinates" do not kill him. Many people have studied this statement in his chart, by today, and the consensus is that Srila Prabhupada is making a reference above to his astrology chart pr

Alas, for those who spend their days
In festive mirth and joy.
The dazzling, deadly, liquid forms
Their hearts fore’er employ.
The shining bottles charm their eyes
And draw their heart’s embrace;
The slaves of wine can never rise
From what we call disgrace.
Was man intended to be
A brute in work and heart?
Should man, the Lord of all around,
From common sense depart?
Man’s glory is in common sense
Dictating us the grace,
That man is made to live and love
The beauteous Heaven’s embrace.
The flesh is not our own, alas,
The mortal frame a chain;
The soul confined for former wrongs
Should try to rise again.
Why then this childish play in that
Which cannot be our own;
Which falls within a hundred years
As if a rose a blown.
Our life is but a rosy hue
To go ere long for naught;
The soul alone would last fore’er
With good or evil fraught.
How deep the thought of times to be!

Everything that Srila Prabhupada gave us is Perfect, Whole and Complete. His Original Pre-1977 Books are PERFECT, His Kirtan Melodies for Congregational Chanting of the Holy Name are PERFECT, His Direction of Management (founding document of the GBC, states that are to be elected every 3 years) is PERFECT, and each and every other Instruction, Order, Request and Example set by Him, is PERFECT. For one who desires liberation from this material world, all that is required is following Srila Prabhupada cent per cent, and giving his/her life for the full execution of the sum total of His Instructions. Hare Krishna!!
A brisk breeze, cool sunny day, the cowherd boys are out to play,
and keep cows, and they will have fun along the way.
Throwing ripe fruits, rolling in hay, the sillier ones have so much to say!
Krsna and Balarama stop on the way, to savor some flowers in Goloka May.
"Dearest Brother Mine, so what do you say? Shall we meet with Radha and Her friends today?'
I fancy a party, some dancing and song... so what say you Brother, will you come along?"
'Oh i shall, my dear brother, and i will dance too, so all of these cowherds can see how we do!"
So later that day, drums rumbling in tune, danced Krsna and Balarama until light of moon.
Radha and shakhis did like to see, the glorious Lord move his righteous body.
The Best of the Dancers, or so it is told, His hair of deep black, His dhoti of gold!
" The Great Sinister Movement has come to be within our ISKCON Hare Krishna Movement..." SP paraphrased
In a July 9, 1971 letter to Umapati Das, Srila Prabhupada wrote:
"GBC members are simply to see that things are going on. Other centers have got president, secretary, etc. and they are managing separately. That is the formula. So how is it that the GBC are the final authority? They are simply to examine that things are going on nicely, that is all."
“GBC men should not dictate very much, simply supervise and see that the
standards are maintained.”
(Srila Prabhupada Letter, February 14th, 1972)
“What will happen when I am not here, shall everything be spoiled by GBC? So for the time being, let the GBC activities be suspended until I thoroughly revise the whole procedure.”

On “The Hare Krishna Puzzle”
[The following conversation between His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and Satsvarupa dasa Gosvami took place in Calcutta, India, in January 1977.]
Satsvarupa Gosvami: Srila Prabhupada, a newspaper came today from America—the Boston Globe—with a long article titled “The Hare Krishna Puzzle.” A statement by one woman describes the devotees as “parasites.”
Srila Prabhupada: We are not parasites. We are publishing the best literature in the world. Does this literature come from illiterate hippies? We are accepted by so many scholars—how are we parasites? An intelligent person is not supposed to work like an ass. If we are parasites, then a high-court judge is also a parasite. A rascal sees a judge sitting—talking a little and getting a high salary—so he calls the judge a parasite.
Satsvarupa Gosvami: A parasite is one who lives off others.
Srila Prabhupada: If I enjoy another’s property without his approval, then I’m a parasite. But we aren’t
Prabhupada: Yes.
Malati: In the mind.
Prabhupada: Yes.
Malati: I thought the mind was left behind.
Prabhupada: No. Actually mind carries you to the next body. So mind goes with you. The material mind, material ego, material intelligence become nil when you are completely liberated. But at that time your spiritual mind acts. It is not very difficult to understand. Somebody is acting under the impression... Just like one of our students, he was acting under the impression that he is Frenchman and doing something subversive, and now he is thinking that "I am Krsna's." (chuckles) He has stopped all those nonsense. [break] When he was thinking that he's a Frenchman, that mind was there. And now he's thinking that "I am Krsna's," the mind is there. So where is the chance of losing the mind? You want to question anything? [break] This boy?
Hamsaduta: She. It's a girl.
Prabhupada: It is a girl? Oh. That's

Papamocani Ekadasi, observed on April 6, 2013 , from the Bhavishya-uttara Purana.
Sri Yudhisthira Maharaja said, "Oh Supreme Lord, I have heard from You the explanation of Amalakii Ekadasiii which occurs during the light fortnight of the month of Phalguna (February-March), and now I wish to hear about the ekadasii that occurs during the dark fortnight of the month of Chaitra (March-April). What is its name, Oh Lord, and what results can one attain by observing it?"
The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, replied, "O best of kings, for the benefit of everyone I shall gladly describe to you the glories of this ekadasii, which is known as Papamochanii. The history of this ekadasii was once narrated to the Emperor Mandhata by Lomasa Rishi. King Mandhata addressed the Rishi, 'Oh great sage, for the benefit of all people, please tell me the name of the ekadasii that occurs during the dark fortnight of the month of Chaitra, and please explain the process for observing it. Vrindavana, 1974-5: It might have been the always-blissful English brahmachary Gunarnava or maybe the philosophical Scottish devotee Smara Hari who approached me with the news. “Hey, Patit,” he called, “A sadhu just asked Shrila Prabhupada for initiation.” “Wow, good luck to that Maharaja,” I chuckled pessimistically. After all, we had both been Prabhupada’s disciples for a number of years, and had been in India long enough to know that most sadhus preferred to keep their distance from us “phoren bhaktas”.
Sure, most of the yogis and renunciates appreciated the fact that we were doing our level best, but they were reticent about mingling; maybe rightfully so. There were the wild rumors that we were foreign spies, or that we had strange parties into the night

Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu quoted the following sloka from the Vishnu Puran in support of His real conception of universal Brotherhood so anxiously imagined by the diplomats, politicians and leaders of the human society. There is a gulf of difference between such conception made by Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu the idol of the Vaishnavite cult and that of others of the groups of Duskritina, Mudha, Maya Apahrita Jnana and Ashurabhabamaspla.
The sloka, as it was set up in the issue of 5th April 1956 of 'Back to Godhead,' runs as follows:—

Samadhi-Bhajan Kutir Issue
We recently received the following e-mail from Krishnagati Das prabhu:
Dear Maharaj/Prabhuji’s,
Kindly accept my humble pranam. Hope, this letter find your goodself in good health & blissful mood of Krishna Consciousness.
It is for your information that our National Highway problem is settled with the understanding that the sewerage line shall go outside of the temple chandan pond and drainage (rain water) shall go near the Chandan Kunda. This solution was acceptable to both N.H. authority and ISKCON, Bhubaneswar. This agreement was reached by much of effort given by Sripad Bijay Sahoo, President, Reliance industries (H.R.) and Mr. Sudhir babu, Coordinator, Reliance industries (H.R.). The Bhajan Kutirs of Srila Prabhupada and Srila Gurudeva (Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Swami) are totally safe. We are planning to errect a
"Somebody was criticizing me that "Swamiji, you are introducing this Hare Kṛṣṇa movement. People are becoming coward. They simply chant Hare Kṛṣṇa." So I replied that "You will see the power of Hare Kṛṣṇa movement in due course of time." He required... Because there were two battles in India: the battle between Rāvaṇa and Rāma, Rāma-Rāvaṇa, the battle of Rāmāyaṇa; and another battle was Battle of Kurukṣetra. And in these two battles the hero was Vaiṣṇava and Viṣṇu. In the Rāma-Rāvaṇa battle Lord Rāmacandra was there and His devotee Hanumān, Vajrāṅgajī. Similarly, in the Battlefield of Kurukṣetra, Kṛṣṇa was there and His devotee Arjuna was there. So Vaiṣṇavas, they do not simply chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. If there is need, they can fight under the guidance of Viṣṇu and become victorious. A Vaiṣṇava's one qualification is... Out of the twenty-six qualifications, one qualification is dakṣa,expert. If there is need of fighting, they can fight like very expert. That is also needed. Kṛṣṇa consciousne
SRI CAITANYA BHAGAVATA
Adi Lila Chapter 3.
1. Even before He took his birth, the Lord propagated the chanting of His holy name.
2. Streams of people went for their bath in the Ganga at the time of the eclipse and all the way they chanted the Lord's name.
3. Some, who from their birth never once uttered the Lord's name, now chanted that name on their way to the Ganga.
4. The sound of chanting emanated from every direction and the Supreme Lord, the best of the brahmins, smiled to Himself as He made His appearance.
5. Sri Jagannatha Misra and Srimati Sacidevi glanced at their child's beautiful face and were over come with unbounded joy.
6. Ladies stood around the child not knowing what to do; fussily they ululated in jubilation.
7. Relatives and friends hurried to see the new born child; Sri Jagannatha Misra's house was a scene of great exultation.
8. Srimati Sacidevi's father, Sri Nilambara Cakravarti, found esoteric and wonderful signs in every house of the child's astrological chart.
