THE GLORIES OF THE LORD'S DAILY PASTIMES

Devotional service to the lotus feet of Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu is far beyond the perception of Lord Brahma, Lord Siva, Lord Sesa-naga and the rest; but it is continually indulged in by the Lord's own devotees, and it is always available to other souls as well. Now I will begin my description of the process of manasi-seva (service to the Lord executed within the mind). This process is fit for continuous remembrance by the most virtuous sages. Therefore I offer my most respectful obeisances to the eternal daily life and pastimes of the Lord born in Navadvipa.

BRIEF CODES DESCRIBING HIS DAILY SCHEDULE

9468767492?profile=originalNow, life after death, in the Bhagavad-gītā it is very easily explained that just like a child has next life, boyhood. The boy has next life as youthhood. The youthhood has next life, the old age. So why not the old age next life?

If we are passing through so many stages of life from birth or from the womb of the mother, then what is the reason that one does not believe there is no life after death? Can you say, any one of you? What is the reason?

You remember your boyhood body; I remember my youthhood body. So that body is no longer existing, but I am existing. I remember my childhood body. My babyhood body also, I remember, particularly.

When I was about six months old, I still remember very vividly, I was lying down on the lap of my eldest sister, and she was knitting. I remember still. Yes, six months. I remember when I was only about one year old, there was a great saṅkīrtana in our house and I also joined the dancing party. And I was seeing up to their knees, very small. So I rememb

Lord Nityānanda Prabhu's
Āvirbhāva Appearance Day Lecture

Bhuvaneśvara, February 2, 1977

Prabhupāda: So today, the appearance day of Nityānanda Prabhu... Nityānanda Prabhu is Baladeva, Baladeva-tattva.
vrajendra-nandana yei, śacī-suta haila sei,
balarāma haila nitāi
"Who was formerly the son of Nanda Mahārāja, He has appeared as the son of Śacīdevi." Caitanya Mahāprabhu's mother's name was Śacīdevi. So Kṛṣṇa... Kṛṣṇa is Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and Balarāma is Nityānanda Prabhu. Now...
vrajendra-nandana yei, śacī-suta haila sei,
balarāma haila nitāi

So Balarāma... In the Vedic literature it is said, nāyam ātmā bala-hinena labhyaḥ; na bahunā śrutena. So bala means strength. Sometimes some rascal philosophers, they take it that bala means bodily strength. They propagate this philosophy that "Unless you are bodily stout and strong, you cannot achieve spiritual salvation. You must be very strong and stout and eat meat and fight, and then you'll get next spiritual birth" No. This bala

1 Tblspn Olive oil, and 2 of ghee

and 1 3/5's teaspoons active dry yeast.

Mix /sift and add together ; 1 teaspoon salt, plus 1 and 1/2 cups of white flour, plus 1 cup of whole wheat flour, plus 1/2 of Rye flour, plus 3 Tblspns of wheat germ, plus 1/2 teaspoon of tumeric, yes, tumeric!

2/3 cups of washed raisins,  and or other mixed chopped dry fruits and nuts etc

Set Breadmaker to dough cycle for 15 minutes, as this is a heavy dough and the extra kneading makes a big difference, one more rise of the yeast, as it turns out, helps!  - So after 15 minutes in the regular dough cycle, then unplug the breadmaker machine, and restart in  the large loaf cycle. At this time, ie start of the second cycle, add the raisins.

For a lighter loaf, less well done, take it out 15 minutes before the baking cycle is completed.

Allow two rounds minimum time for it to cool before slicing. Offe

Depend on Krishna, because after all, He is the ultimate Master of all situations. It is not the doctor, or the medicine, or the place, but it is ultimately Krishna who is the Master to do everything.

Today, 15th March, now it is 7:35, gone, as soon as it is 7:36, you cannot bring back that 15th March, evening, 7:35, again. Even if you pay millions of dollars, “Please come back again,” no, finished.

Chanakya Pandita says, “ Time is so valuable, that if you pay millions of golden coins, you cannot get back even a moment.” What is lost is lost for good. “If you such valuable time spoil for nothing, without any profit, just imagine how much you are losing, how greatly you are loser.”

"With every rising and setting of the sun, a day passes and is lost.

Then why do you remain idle, and not serve the Lord of your Heart ?"

Vedic Hells !

9468746882?profile=original

from Sri Markandeya Purana, comprised of the dialogue between the sage Jaimini and the sage Markandeya.

The Brahmin said, 'O son! Describe in detail about hell.' Sumati said, 'O father! Yamadoots carry and lynch those people who eat inedible things, who deceive and dishonour their friends, who indulge in illicit relationships, who desert their wife, and who destroy public properties like gardens, water sources, etc. Yamadoots tie the hands and legs of such people and throw them into the fire. On their way to hell, such people are bitten by crows, storks, wolves, vultures, etc.

They stay in the inferno for a thousand years. Then they are shifted to another hell named Tama, which is always shrouded in darkness. Sinners who kill the cows and their brothers are thrown into this hell. They panic due to darkness and extreme cold. They get nothing to eat and drink. Moreover, chilling winds aggravates their miseries by making their bones stiff. These sinners then drink their own blood and e

Bhagavad-gītā 4.23              9468726493?profile=original

Bombay, April 12, 1974

Then if you are, any man is conscious, deliberate, then, if you try to implement and practice in your life.... Sthāne sthitāḥ. First of all hearing. Unless you hear.... Just like Kṛṣṇa is speaking. You have to hear.

gata-saṅgasya muktasya
jñānāvasthita-cetasaḥ
yajñāyācarataḥ karma
samagraṁ pravilīyate

So in this way, hearing, hearing, you become jñānāvasthita-cetasaḥ. You don't require to go to the college and school.

This is also.... They simply hear. Even in college and school, there is percentage of attendance, hearing. All of you know that unless one has attended class of the professor seventy-five percent, he is not allowed for the examination. So hearing is so important.

And that is also in the case of spiritual. You hear from.... Hear from whom? Hear from whom? That tad-vijñānārthaṁ sa gurum evābhigacchet: [MU 1.2.12] "Hear from guru." Who is guru? Guru. Brahma-niṣṭham. Brahma-niṣṭham. Gurumeans who knows God and fu

HDG Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur

Jul 24, 2012 — CANADA (SUN) — By Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakura Prabhupada, originally published in the Harmonist (renumbered here).

Question 1: Is it necessary to be in the association of saintly persons (sadhu-sanga) at all times?

Answer: We must be in sadhu-sanga at every moment. I am weak. Without sadhu-sanga I cannot possibly save myself. If I remain far away from sadhu-sanga, then I will fall pray to the ill-mentality that "I am the master." If we do not live in accordance with the instructions of the sadhu or the guru, then we will be plunged into great calamity. The moment we are without shelter, maya will capture us. Consequently, we will roam here and there in this material world as a servant of maya.

Question 2: How is one delivered from the cycle of material existence (samsara)?

Answer: Without the mercy of Bhagavan, no one can ever be delivered from material bondage. We are

Jagannatha Nectar!

9468742886?profile=original
9468743279?profile=original
Or even when the playful Lord Jagannätha stood still as His pastime, His closest devotees gave themselves to His intimate mood, amazed at His greatness and delighted in love. BB, 2.1.203

Sanatana Gosvami's commentary:

In the private company of the Orissan pujaris, Lord Jagannätha would sometimes talk and engage in various personal exchanges. But even when He remained motionless and silent on the altar, those most intimate devotees still had very special relationships with Him.

The Lord is not a lifeless log; He only pretends to be like that. Every chance He gets, He indulges in all sorts of sports and tricks with His devotees. The pujaris were astonished to see how Lord Jagannätha at one moment acts like a naughty child and the next poses as an immobile Deity.

But rather than become morose when Jagannätha was not active and speaking to them, the pujaris were happy to go along with whatever pastime the Lord was playing at the moment, be it active or passive.

The ISKCON and Gaudiya Math Parampara

Saraswati Prabhupada Parampara I

A brief look into the history and essential meaning of the ISKCON
and Gaudiya Math parampara.

Swami B. G. Narasingha Jagat Guru Dasa

by Swami B. G. Narasingha
(Jagat Guru Dasa)

(The following article has been written to counteract the accusation that Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Prabhupada and his disciples and grand disciples are not in the Parampara of Srila Bhaktivinode Thakura. This accusation has recently appeared on the internet and therefore our response is being posted on VNN. For the most part the western community of devotees are unaware of the early histories surrounding the preaching movement of Srila Bhaktivinode Thakur, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur, and the types of opposition which they encountered. We hope this article will better acquaint the devotees with the facts and also send a message to the anti-party that we are not so uninformed as they would like to think - nor are we likely to depart from the siddhanta of Sarasw
