9468793487?profile=original

The swing festival of Radha-Krsna. The Deities ride on an elaborately decorated swing.

Deities in the temples are swung on a swing. Some of the main temples that this festival is celebrated at are the Banke Bihari Temple and the Radha-Raman Temple in Vrindavana, the Dwarkadish temple in Mathura, and the Larily Lal Temple in Varsana.

In our Iskcon temples we observe for five days in accordance with Srila Prabhupada's instructions. So whether one observes for the four days or for the seven, or thirteen days, the same festival is put on for the pleasure of the Lord and His loving associates.

This is a wonderful ceremonial function of Lord Krishna's pastimes that reflects practically how we are to render service to the Lord for His pleasure.

At the time of the Jhulan Yatra festival it is Monsoon in India and the air is thick, heavy and humid with the heat and the rains. In the midst of the rainy season, when fields and jungle have turned shades of lush green and flowers are blossoming all arou

The living entities in this conditioned world are My eternal, fragmental parts. Due to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind.
PURPORT
In this verse the identity of the living being is clearly given. The living entity is the fragmental part and parcel of the Supreme Lord-eternally. I Lost My Shoes in Vrindavana

Hah haaa! I actually carve my initials into my flip-flops and lock them together with a combo mini-padlock, for real. I also keep a chain in my suitcase and chain it to the bench on the trains or when visiting Calcutta.

FIRST OF ALL PAY THE FEES

Palaka Dasa's photo.

FIRST OF ALL PAY THE FEES

Prabhupada: No, no. They are not brahmanas. Those who give education in exchange of money, they are not brahmanas. Just like we are lecturing, educated, educating people. We don't say that "Give us salary." We simply ask them, "Please come." Therefore we are making food. I'll give you food. I'll give you good seat. Please come and hear. We are not asking money, that "First of all pay the fees. Then you come and learn Bhagavad-gita." We never say so. So those, these so-called teachers, they first of all set up salary, "What salary you'll give me?" That is dog's business. That is not brahmana's business. Brahmana will never ask. Brahmana is eager to give lesson only. That's all. Brahmana is eager to see that people are educated. "Take free education and be educated. Be a human being." This is brahmana's business. I came here not to ask for any money. But I want to give lesson. This is brahmana's business.

False Guru Should be Killed

William Arz ; Srila Prabhupada: "So Kṛṣṇa has enemies. Arisudana. And He has to kill them. Kṛṣṇa has got two businesses: paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṁ vināśāya ca duṣkṛtam [Bg. 4.8]. Miscreants... They are miscreants. The demons who challenge Kṛṣṇa, who want to compete with Kṛṣṇa, who want to share with the property of Kṛṣṇa, they are all enemies of Kṛṣṇa, and they should be killed.....So real guru is never to be killed, but the so-called guru has to be killed. The so-called, pseudo guru, false guru, he should be killed." Bhagavad-gita 2.4-5 -- London,

"Even if one is not situated in such a transcendental position, if he simply approves of such a transcendental life, he also becomes very dear to Krishna."

"You cook samosas. You chant beautifully, you have love for Krishna. What else is needed?"

Sudama: Srila Prabhupada saw me come in. I paid my obeisances, and he jumped all over me. "What is this? Why you have left? Why you are dressed like that?" He asked me all these questions for twenty minutes. I was sweating, crying, very upset, very confused, very on edge, very on trial in front of my God-brothers, who were really strangers. I had gotten a temple that was too big, and my men had been stolen. It was the old politics game.

Srila Prabhupada said, "I want to know one thing before I send you out of here. Do you still love Krishna? Do you believe in Krishna?" I said, "Yes." He said, "All right. You will be okay." Then he turned to everybody in the room and said, "This is disgusting. This is not how Vaishnavas behave. You knew that Sudama needed help. You knew that Sudama was crying out in maya, and you ignored him. This is not Vaishnava behavior. A true Va

9468793696?profile=originalThe Lord is to be Worshipped by one's own consciousness, not by material substances - by waving lamps, lighting incense, offering flowers or even food or sandal paste. HE is attained without the least effort: HE is worshipped by Self-Realisation alone. This is the Supreme Meditation, this is the Supreme Worship: the continuous and unbroken awareness of the indwelling presence, Inner light or Consciousness. While doing what ever one is doing - seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, eating, moving, sleeping, breathing or talking - one should realise one's Essential Nature as Pure Consciousness. Thus does One attain Liberation.

Received from our Godbrother Sriman Padmapani Dasa;

I wish to inform the Vaisnava community that a great soul has passed from our midst. Her name was Rita McNaughton -- better known as Momji among devotees. She left her body peacefully on the morning of August 6, 2015, at the age of 93. Momji was a sincere devotee, and she also happened to be my mother. Following are a few words in her honor.

Momji was born in 1922 in rural Manitoba, Canada, on a homesteader farm. She came from a large family of eight brothers and sisters. They initially had no electricity, running water or telephone, and they made all their own clothes. It wasn't an easy life, but she grew up strong and healthy with firm faith in God. Always very pious, Momji worked hard to get ahead by studying to be a secretary, and eventually she joined the army (non-combatant). Afterwards she met her husband and raised a family, but not without great personal struggle and sacrifice. She scrubbed floors for wealthy families and

Raghunandana Thakura

The deity of baby Raghunandana on the lap of his mother at his birthplace, Sri Khanda. Courtesy of Sakhicharan dasa.

Being called away on medical business, Mukunda Dasa once asked his young son, Raghunandana, to offer the raja bhoga to the family Deity of Gopinatha. Raghunandana prepared everything timely, carefully, and with great devotion. When he made the offering he remembered his father's order, "make sure the Deity eats." Ringing the bell the simple boy told the Gopinatha Deity, "Eat, eat!" Raghunandana began crying when he saw the untouched food remaining on the Deity's plate. He feared his father's anger for his inability to "make the Deity eat." Gopinatha couldn't resist the child's intense devotion. So the Lord ate everything on the plate, leaving no remnants.

Upon returning, Mukunda asked for Gopinatha's Maha-Prasadam. Raghunandana said the Deity ate everything. Astonished, Mukunda told his son to make the offering again. From a hidden place Mukunda watched in total ama

We are the resistance

In 1977 Srila Prabhupada the spiritual leader of the world wide burgeoning Hare Krsna Movement was murdered by poison by Illuminati agents. Since then, our organizations have been splintered, some controlled by egotists and phonies following the murderers' set-up, some floundering on the sands, others fighting against the new world order that arranged this coup. We are the resistance. https://puredevoteeseva.ning.com/

“Our philosophy is.....

“Our philosophy is that you produce your food anywhere. You stay, and keep cows, take milk, produce vegetables, food grains, and chant Hare Kåñëa. That's all. This is our philosophy. Make your life successful. By becoming Kåñëa conscious, you become free from all these troubles of material condition. This is our education. Don't be after these motorcars, television, and all nonsense things, sporting, wine, women. Don't be after these. Simply eat sufficiently, keep your health nicely, chant Hare Kåñëa, realize Kåñëa, and go back to home. This is our philosophy.”

Nanda Baba didn't ask for an ordinary son, nor did he even ask to have Bhagavan as his son, but he asked only for bhagavat - bhakti . This is the proper yearning - begging for bhakti, for prema. The acharyas in our sampradaya don't consider that obtaining Krsna is the ultimate objective; they consider that obtaining krsna-prema is the ultimate objective . Especially the krsna-prema of the Vrajavasis, and within that, specially the prema of the gopis. And within that, the prema of Radhika has been emphasised - to have prema for Krsna as Radha-vallabha."We desire to have vatsalya - prema for You."Their love never comes and goes as the love in this world does; It is the same with Nanda and Yasoda's prema for Krsna is always taking new and variegated forms. - taken from Facebook, disciple of HH Narayana Maharajah

Within the heart of a Vaisnava..

Within the heart of a Vaisnava...

"Dust in the feet. Not even an atom of the flesh, not that. Not the flesh of the feet, but vibhinamsa, the dust of the feet. Please consider me to be so. My highest ambition is there. That is the direction we got from our Masters. Try to think in this way if you want to approach and make real progress towards the absolute.

You must couch your endeavour in such a way. Then you will be able to hit the point. But imitation always should be avoided. Without sincerity everything is bogus. Sincerity must be there... be simple, unassuming, be sincere. Then everything is there. Bogus to imitate that I am a sadhu. Don't try to imitate, copy. Try to be so and don't try to copy the external movements of a sadhu.

The inherent, the inner thing try to reach and try to acquire the innermost thing. Try to enter into the heart of a Vaisnava and not his figure nor dress. It is difficult of course to enter into the heart of a Vaisnava. There is templ
