Here is Ram advising Kaikeyi as well as speaking to her about His own detachment: "Ram smiled at her with affection. "It was I who, for the sake of the gods, prompted you to act as you did," He said. "You are not to blame, nor am I angry with you. Hardly anyone knows my real nature. I am never affected by desire in the same way as ordinary men. I act to simply reciprocate the service and love I am given. Gentle lady, return to Ayodhya and live peacefully. Think of me day and night and you will soon be freed from all your attachments to this temporary world." - From the translation by Krishna Dharma das, a U.K. SP disciple.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Actually, unless someone gets one of your books, there's no way they can come out of the darkness of this material world. There's no other source of knowledge being given them.
Prabhupāda: That is a fact. Śrīmad-bhāgavate mahā-muni-kṛte kiṁ vā śāstraiḥ [SB 1.1.2]. When there is Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, composed, compiled by Vyāsadeva, where is the use of other literature?
Śrīmad-bhāgavate mahā-muni-kṛte.
Prabhupāda: Just see, why this wood is dried up? Why?
Hari-śauri: There is no spirit soul in it.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: It has been severed from the tree.
Hari-śauri: Cut off.
Prabhupāda: Yes, from the..., it is out of touch from the original bark. Similarly, any civilization which is out of touch of God consciousness, that will dry up in due course of time.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: How come you didn't cook your food where you were living?
Prabhupāda: Huh? There was no place.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: What was it like there?
Prabhupāda: It was an office room. That building is meant for office, not for residency.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: You rented a room there?
Prabhupāda: Yes, I was paying seventy-two dollars a month.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: And where did you sleep? Was there a bed?
Prabhupāda: No, there was bed where I was sleeping. There is toilet and water, but no bath and no cooking.
Devotee (1): Did you have to go there to bathe also?
Prabhupāda: Yes, I was taking bathing there.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Where did you... Did you sleep on the floor?
Prabhupāda: Yes, I had little platform. So on that platform.
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: You are the most bold person in the whole world, Prabhupāda
Rāmeśvara: Prabhupāda, if the spiritual master has a mission, is it proper for the disciple to think that he can take more than one..., he can take many births to help the mission of the spiritual master?
Prabhupāda: When the spiritual master goes there, somewhere, his nearest assistants, they automatically go there to assist him. When Kṛṣṇa comes, the demigods also come to help Him. That is there in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. All these Yadus, Yadu family, they came from heaven. So before Kṛṣṇa's disappearance, by some trick they were all killed and they returned to their original place. It is nicely described in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta

"If somebody engages himself in the devotional service of Vasudeva, then very quickly this detachment develops. And knowledge." Knowledge also. Without knowledge, there cannot be detachment. Without knowledge, one cannot be detached. And what is that knowledge? The knowledge is that "I am not this matter; I am spirit soul." So... But this knowledge is... Although it is very easy thing to say, that "I am not this body, but I am spirit soul," but actually to have perfect knowledge, that is a great job. It is not very easy. For getting that supreme knowledge so many, I mean to say, transcendentalists, they were trying life after life, just to get detached. But the easiest process is that if one is engaged in the devotional service. That is the
A collection of Srila Prabhupada quotes;
Because of the importance of the Krishna consciousness movement, people should be Krishna conscious and should not vote for anyone who is not Krishna conscious. Then there will be actual peace and prosperity in the state. When a vaisnava sees mismanagement in the government, he feels great compassion in his heart and tries his best to purify the situation by spreading the Hare Krishna movement. (Purport to Bhag. 6.2.3)
We don’t very much like this so-called democracy. What is the value of this democracy? All fools and rascals. They vote for another fool and rascal and he becomes prime minister, or this or that. That is not good for the people. We are not for this so-called democracy because they are not trained. (Lecture in London, 24 July 1973)
The first teaching of Bhagavad-gita should be taken by the persons who are going to be elected
BG Chapters 1 - 6
There are three degrees of covering of the living entity by which his pure consciousness is obscured. This covering is but lust under different manifestations like smoke in the fire, dust on the mirror, and the womb about the embryo. When lust is compared to smoke, it is understood that the fire of the living spark can be a little perceived. In other words, when the living entity exhibits his Kṛṣṇa consciousness slightly, he may be likened to the fire covered by smoke. Although fire is necessary where there is smoke, there is no overt manifestation of fire in the early stage. This stage is like the beginning of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. The dust on the mirror refers to a cleansing process of the mirror of the mind by so many spiritual methods. The best process is to chant the holy names of
Vrindavan story: Lord Siva become gopi – Gopisvara Mahadeva!
Once while in deep meditation on Mount Kailash, Lord Siva heard the sweet vibration of Krsna playing His divine flute. Mesmerized, He entered samadhi.
He followed that transcendental sound until He came to Vrindavan, where Lord Gopinath was getting ready to start the Maha Raas – Lila with His gopis.
Desiring intensely to join the maha-rasa, when He came to the entrance of the rasa-sthali, He was stopped by Yogamaya, who told him, “No males except Krsna are allowed entry. First you must have gopi-rupa, the form of a Vraja milkmaid, a gopi, only then can you enter.”
Lord Bholanath asked “How can I get gopi-rupa?” Yogamaya replied, “Seek the shelter of Vrinda Devi. She will grant you the form of a gopi.”
Vrinda devi asked Lord Siva to take a dip in the waters of Manasarovara in Vrindavana. After bathing there, Lord Siva emerged from the lake with the form of a beautiful gopi.
Vrinda devi then took Lord Siva in her gopi form to
