Śrīman Viṣṇu,

(1) You have asked about the glories of the month of Kārtika. In the month of Kārtika many pastimes of Kṛṣṇa took place:

        (a) On the very first day of Kārtika, that is, on [Śāradīya-]pūrṇma, mahā-rāsa took place in Vaṁśivaṭa in Vṛndāvana, and the supremacy of Śrīmatī Rādhikā was established.

        (b) In this Kārtika month, Mother Yaśodā bound Kṛṣṇa to a grinding mortar with the rope of her love. Prior to this, in any of His other manifestations, no one was able to bind Kṛṣṇa.

        (c) In this month, Kṛṣṇa lifted Govardhana and crushed the pride of Indra.

        (d) In this month, on the day of rāsa, after Kṛṣṇa disappeared, the gopīs attained the highest state of prema in separation.

"Thereafter, King Vṛṣabhānu, as per the advice of the goddess, arrived at the āśrama of Mahā-muni Kratu on the sandy banks of the river Virajā, received harināma mahā-mantra, and also became acquainted with the process of chanting śrī nāma. Kratu Muni, having given the harināma mahā-mantra to King Vṛṣabhānu, once again said to him: “Son! For Vaiṣṇavas, and especially in the case of Śākta, Saura, Śaiva, and Gāṇapatya initiation, only the performance harināma-kīrtana purifies the aural faculties. In other words, because of impurities within the aural faculty, without first of all having harināma-dīkṣā, no other mantra will bear results. Ears into which harināma has not entered are impure like the ears of a dead body. In other words, as long as one does not receive harināma-dīkṣā, one’s ears remain impure. Once harināma enters, one attains purity. O Mahābāho (strong-armed one)! I have given you this harināma. Hereafter, practice this with full concentration of your heart and soul.” cour

So as soon as you approach the Deity or the name, you should know fully well that Krsna is present. Krsna is… Therefore we should worship the Deity with great attention, as much as Krsna is present. And similarly, we should worship the holy name with great attention. We should not be inattentive.
Suppose Krsna personally comes, personally He is here. Suppose personally, as you think of personally, personally comes. If you do not become respectful, is that all right? No. You should be very much respectful. Even a respectable person, ordinary person, a big man or a rich man or a king comes, we become so much respectful. And what about Krsna when He’s present as arcā-mūrti or as the holy name? These are the realization point of view: Krsna, His name, His form, His quality, His pastimes. When you hear about Kṛṣṇa, that is also Kṛṣṇa. Actually, when you are reading Krsna book, Krsna is fighting with demons, that is also His past

"...In a very sweet voice, Krishna says, “Radhe, where is viraha? Where is separation? There is no separation, Radhe. In tattva there is no separation at all. I am always with You in Vrajabhumi. This viraha is the topmost platform in prema, loving affairs. If there had not been viraha then this prema would have met an untimely death, akala mrtyu. Therefore viraha keeps the prema alive.
“Radhe, Your love for Me is like a very deep ocean. In order to reach such an ocean and to drown in that deep ocean I have assumed this form, Jagannath. In this form I will stay eternally in Sri Kshetra.”
This is Jagannath-vigraha, radha-viraha-vidhura, Krishna feeling intense separation from Radha. In the form of a log of wood, He is floa

"So in the material world the varieties are reflection of the spiritual world. Here is also father, but this is imitation father. But there is also father, but that is not father..... It is imitation father. A friend is imitation friend. Real friend is Krsna. Real father is Krsna. Here husband, imitation husband. Real husband is Krsna.
Master, imitation master. Real master is Krsna. We have to give up this imitation."

Srila Prabhupada, prophet

*Govinda Dasi*
*June 25 at 8:32 AM*
This morning I was remembering something so very clearly. It was in *1968,* and on this particular day, *Srila Prabhupada* was looking very pensive, thoughtful, as if he were *watching a movie of the future.*
Often he would comment on *events in this world,* though we were never connected by *tv or internet—only an occasional newspaper* that would come our way.
But *Srila Prabhupada* would look around and seem to *know what was going on in the world as mystic seers do,* since those *siddhis were always available to him.*
I was always totally unaware of anything that was going on in the outside world, since I considered his room to be *MY world,* and *HE was all the people.*
I was young, *only twenty,* and nothing in the world of current affairs had ever interested me. In high school and college, only Thoreau’s *“Walden Pond”* sparked my interest.
On this day, I went in and sat down quietly in front of his trun

WHAT ARE WE THINKING ABOUT?

WHAT ARE WE THINKING ABOUT?
.........."When a living entity is accustomed to think of a particular subject matter or become absorbed in a certain type of thought, he will think of that subject at the time of death. At the time of death, one will think of the subject that has occupied his life while he was awake, lightly sleeping or dreaming, or while he was deeply sleeping. After falling from the association of the Supreme Lord, the living entity thus transmigrates from one bodily form to another according to nature's course, until he finally attains the human form. If he is absorbed in material thoughts and ignorant of spiritual life, and if he does not"........in the Purport of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 4.28.28

Srila Prabhupada’s letter to Hansadutta- Calcutta Sept. 2, 1970 “It is a fact that the great sinister movement is within our society.” What is “the great sinister movement” if not the satanic cabal? He also instructed one of his disciples Nanda Kumar, “There are those in our movement who dress like devotees, shika, tilak, neckbeads, and dhoti, but they are not devotees. They are agents of Kali. We must find them and weed them out.”

Quote from Srila Bhaktisidhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada - “After the time of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, those faithful to Him kept apart from non devotees, to avoid contamination. Seeing this, the personality of Kali sent his representatives in disguise to pollute the Vaisnava sampradaya. Posing as Vaisnavas, they spread their wicked doctrines, and appeared so intelligent and devoted that only pure devotees could detect their real identity.” – Srila Bhaktisiddhanta, Sajana Toshani (18.2.13-14)

A Heart Touching Pastime Of Srila Prabhupada.
Sripada Hrdayananda Babaji Maharaja was born in Radha Kunda and has been a pujari for 78 years. He lives next to the Radha Damodara Temple. At the beginning of the interview, upon being asked if he knew Srila Prabhupada, Babaji Maharaja began to cry, "Never have I seen anyone do sadhana like he did. I have lived all my life in Vraja and I have never seen anyone like him. Prabhupada did many arduous things, he worked very hard there at the Radha Damodara Temple. At that time it was austere, undeveloped, and very muddy and dirty with no facilities.”
"Many years later, when I heard that it was actually he who had been chosen by Caitanya Mahaprabhu to spread the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra around the world, I was not surprised.”
Prabhupada spread this Krishna consciousness by the mercy of Rupa Goswami. Prabhupada used to pray to Rupa Goswami, "You please give me your mercy." And then he got that mercy. I know t

Kṛṣṇa consciousness is dormant in everyone’s heart
(The following is a part of the interview with freelance reporter Sandy Nixon took place in July 1975, in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s quarters at the Kṛṣṇa center in Philadelphia.)
Ms. Nixon: My first question is very basic. What is Kṛṣṇa consciousness?
Śrīla Prabhupāda: Kṛṣṇa means God. We are all intimately connected with Him because He is our original father. But we have forgotten this connection. When we become interested in knowing, “What is my connection with God? What is the aim of life?” then we are called Kṛṣṇa conscious.
Ms. Nixon: How does Kṛṣṇa consciousness develop in the practitioner?
Śrīla Prabhupāda: Kṛṣṇa consciousness is already there in the core of everyone’s heart. But because of our materially conditioned life, we have forgotten it. The process of chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra—Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare—revives
