CC Madhya 1.220, Translation and Purport: In accordance with the instructions of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, the two brothers, Rūpa and Sanātana, immediately touched the lotus feet of these Vaiṣṇavas, who all became very happy and congratulated the two brothers for having received the mercy of the Lord.

This behavior is indicative of real Vaiṣṇavas. When they saw that Rūpa and Sanātana were fortunate enough to receive the mercy of the Lord, they were so pleased that they all congratulated the two brothers. A jealous person in the dress of a Vaiṣṇava is not at all happy to see the success of another Vaiṣṇava in receiving the Lord’s mercy. Unfortunately, in this Age of Kali there are many mundane persons in the dress of Vaiṣṇavas, and Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura has described them as disciples of Kali.

He says, kali-celā. He indicates that there is another Vaiṣṇava, a pseudo Vaiṣṇava with tilaka on his nose and kaṇṭhī beads around his neck. Such a pseudo Vaiṣṇava associates with mo

Srila Prabhupada: Arjuna was a great Vaishnava, and he was killing. Bhima was a great Vaishnava, and he was killing. Dhruva Maharaja was a Vaishnava, and he was killing. Parikshit Maharaja was killing. Prahlada Maharaja was killing. Rama was killing. Krishna was killing. Practically speaking, Vaishnavas are killers. . . It is not that because Mohammed used a sword, we also must use a sword, No! --we can use a Gun. We will ask-...You like Krishna??No--Booom..You like Krishna? No--Booom. We can use everything for Krishna, we can use the ATOM BOMB FOR KRISHNA!!We have to kill this civilization of mudhas [fools] . . .those who are mudhas, we have to kill them. This is our business. Kill all the mudhas. . . Not now but later when we are more powerful.

Sri Krsnadasa Kaviraja Goswami has written: "Uddharana Datta Thakura, the eleventh among the twelve cowherd boys, was an exalted devotee of Lord Nityananda Prabhu. He worshiped the lotus feet of Lord Nityananda in all respects." According to Gaura-ganodesa-dipika, "The devotee who was formerly known as Subahu in Vraja, and who was one of the cowherd boys in Vrndavana later appeared in Gaura-lila as Sri Uddharana Datta.

In his translation and commentary on Caitanya Caritamrta (CC Adi 11.41) Sri A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami writes: "Uddharana Datta Thakura, previously known as Sri Uddharana Dattta, was a resident of Saptagrama, which is situated on the bank of the Saraswati River near the Trisbhigha railway station in the district of Hugali. At the time of Uddharana Datta Thakura, Saptagrama was a very big town, encompasing many other placesf such as Vasudeva-pura, Bansabediya, Krsnapura, Nityananda-pura, Sivapura, Sanhanagara and Saptagrama.

Srila Mahesa Pandita Disappearance

9468800875?profile=original
"He who was previously a very munificent cowherd boy has now appeared as Mahesa Pandita. In ecstatic love, he dances like a madman as though intoxicated to the beat of a kettle drum. [C.C. Adi 11.32]

According to Gaura-ganoddesa-dipika, Mahesa Pandita was formerly Maha-Bahusakha in Krsna-lila. He was a companion of Nityananda Prabhu, and was present at the Danda Mahotsava held at Paninati.

In Bhakti-Ratnakara, Taranga Nine, it is stated that when Narottama dasa Thakura came to visit Khardaha, he had darsana of the lotus feet of Mahesa Pandita.

Vrindavana dasa Thakura has described him as a 'param mahanta' due to the fact that he was very dear to Nityananda Prabhu. [C.B. Antya 5.744]

Mahesa Pandita's original Sripat at Sukh Sagor merged into the bed of the Ganges, but his worshipful deities of Sri Sri Nitai-Gauranga as well as his samadhi were moved to Palpara. There is a railway station there, between Simrali and Cakdaha stations, on the Sealdah-Krsnanagar line.

His disappearance day is on

Biren Chauhan to ONLY PRABHUPADA

It is a fact that every living entity is eternally a servant of Kṛṣṇa. This is forgotten due to the influence of māyā, which induces one to believe in material happiness. Being illusioned by māyā, one thinks that material happiness is the only desirable object. This material consciousness is like a chain around the neck of the conditioned soul. As long as he is bound to that conception, he cannot get out of māyā's clutches. However, if by Kṛṣṇa's mercy he gets in touch with a bona fide spiritual master, abides by his order and serves him, engaging other conditioned souls in the Lord's service, he then attains liberation and Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa's shelter.

What did the birth of Jesus teach us?

What did the birth of Jesus teach us? That Godhead can be cute and adorable! That a life of sacrifice is God's demand. That detachment from selfishness and greed is Divine, to fight against them is required. That love over-rides selfishness. That we are valuable enough in God's eyes, that He would make sacrifices for our sakes. That we have rights to choose.

Christ Is Our Guru

Devotee: Prabhupada, you have said, “Preaching God’s message is a thankless task.”

Srila Prabhupada: Yes, just look at Jesus Christ—crucified. What was his fault? He was simply teaching God consciousness. Of course, he was not killed. Nobody cankill the Lord’s pure devotee.

Devotee: But ungrateful people tried to.

Srila Prabhupada: Yes. Such a great personality, the son of God. He wanted to deliver God consciousness. And in return, he was crucified. We don’t take Jesus Christ as insignificant. We give him all honor. He is a pure representative of God. Of course, he directed his preaching according to time, place, and circumstance, the era and region and people’s mentality. In any case, he is a pure representative of God.

Devotee: And he was able to do all his preaching in just three years, too.

Srila Prabhupada: He had so little time to preach—but still, what he did in three years is so wonderful.

Srila Devananda Pandit Disappearance

Devananda Pandit

Devananda understood the divinity of Sri Krishna Chaitanya and surrendered to Him. (In the image: Lord Sri Krishna Chaitanya).

Living in Kuliya during Sri Chaitanya's pastimes, Sri Devananda Pandit gave professional readings of Srimad Bhagavatam tainted with Mayavada philosophy. One day Shrivasa Pandit heard his Bhagavata-katha, began crying, and fell to the ground. Becoming disturbed by this display, the foolish disciples of Devananda threw Shrivasa out of the assembly. By silently observing this misbehavior of his disciples Devananda committed the hati-mata aparadha, the mad elephant offense of blaspheming a pure Devotee of Lord Chaitanya.

Later, by the mercy of Vakreshvara Pandit, an intimate Devotee of Sri Gaura Raya, Devananda understood the divinity of Sri Krishna Chaitanya and surrendered to Him. The Lord pardoned his offense and blessed him with bhakti. He serves in Krishna lila as Bhaguri Muni.

dinera adhika dayā karena bhagavān
Bhagavān Has More Compassion for the Fallen

My dear object of affection [This letter was written to revered Umā dīdī],

“By his own will, the soul harbours millions of hankerings. Yet, without Kṛṣṇa’s Will, none bear fruit.”

Man’s desires and ambitions have no end, so they can never be fulfilled. However, Śrī Bhagavān fulfills the devotees’ wishes, so He is called, “bhakta-vāñcha kalpa-taru – a desire tree for His devotees’ aspirations.” His devotees, too, earn this title.

Because of your mother’s illness, you could not come to Navadvīpa. I understand. Your mother is a great Vaiṣṇavī and by nature very inclined to devotion. She has immovable faith and profound devotion for Śrī Hari, Guru, and Vaiṣṇavas. Therefore, you must accept that you have to sacrifice something in your efforts to s

We can increase our allowed members and add CHAT if four members cared to donate $ 5. per month. We already have two kind members who donate monthly, and they keep this site and our association afloat. Kindly show you care, take responsibility!

SO please four not the already donating members, kindly go to the donate button on the left margin of the front page, and pledge five bucks a month! If EVERYBODY pledge five dollars a month, then we could again distribute some books etc., but we would have to work together much more as a group. I'm not sure how to accomplish that, as we live far apart and im not currently free to travel ...

If two or three other devotee moved together or etc we could open a Temple.

Srila Prabhupada said that making devotees is more important than building temples. So, a huge service here would be if the members actually talked to each other once in a blue moon no pun intended. Those that accept our site philosophy might wish to start guiding and preaching e

"The beautiful place known as Vrindavana is a trancendental abode in the spiritual world and is made entirely of divine touchstones. There are many beautiful temples there made out of jewels, and the swans known as raja-hamsa play in the waters of the River Yamuna, which flow through that transcendental land. In the water of that divine river there is a beautiful golden lotus of a hundred petals.
In the midst of that lotus there is a golden platform surrounded by eight petals. Situated upon those eight petals are the eight principal sakhis, headed by Lalita and Visakha. On that golden platform the divine couple sit on a jeweled throne. In the company of Lord Shyama sits the beautiful Radhika.
The beauty and sweetness of Sri Radha and Govinda's forms during Their talks, which are filled with smile and laughter, is emanating showers of nectar. Narottama das says, 'May these eternal pastimes, filled with transcendental joy, be ever manifest in my heart."

Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura, the guru of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, appeared in Sri Ksetra Dhama.(Jagannatha Puri) on 6 February 1874 as the son of Srila Sacidananda Bhaktivinoda Thakura. In his childhood he quickly mastered the Vedas, memorized the Bhdgavad-gita, and relished his father's philosophical works. He became known as "The Living Encyclopedia" for his vast knowledge.

He preached convincingly against casteism and philosophical deviations from Gaudiya Vaisnavism. He tried to unite the four Vaisnava sampradayas by publishing their teachings. Srila Sarasvati Thakura earned the title Nrisimha Guru for his fearless and powerful delivery of the Vaisnava siddhanta. Mayavadis would cross the street to avoid confronting the "lion guru." Besides being a courageous preacher, he was ornamented with all divine qualities and full of ecstatic love of God. He established 64 Gaudiya Math temples in India and centers in

Facebook post;  Support Trump, or support those who murdered Srila Prabhupada, you stupid asses!

6:01pm
A devotee said; - Hare Krsna. Been just reading about Prabhupad's poisoning just minutes before you posted that message. Gives me an eerie feeling about my own place within the society. Being just a simple bhakta, without guidance makes me feel
adrift trying to navigate the darkness left behind after the infiltration and hijacking of the movement. I really don't know what to say other than give my best wishes during this degrading period. Can the movement be saved or is it just best to focus on satisfying Krishna and just pray that he can deliver us across this hoofprint we call an ocean of suffering?

reply; best is to regroup and put everything we have into that . We do our duties, come what may. But divided we remain conquered. I feel what you say. I shaved up in 1971 and i am also dealing with

And what class of man he will select? And how we desire to be happy by such elected men who is elected by these dog, hog, camel and asses? Are there any intelligent?

And you expect good government, peaceful state and... And the śva-viḍ-varāhoṣṭra-kharaiḥ saṁstutaḥ puruṣaḥ paśuḥ. Therefore the others, they went to see the lion. So dog, hog, camel, ass will... "Oh, he's a lion." But what is a lion? It is also an animal, big animal. That's all.

Similarly, the so-called president and leader and Gandhi, they are also another animal, big animal. So does it mean an animal big and very powerful, he has got the human intelligence? This is civilization.

And when you say the right thing, that human life is meant for understanding God and prepare for the next life—"brainwash." This is li

Chapter Twenty-one contains twenty verses, describing how Krishna entered the forest of Vrindavana in the autumn, playing His flute, and how He attracted the gopis, who were singing His glories. Dattatreya Jayanti

15-12-2013_22-11-59.jpg

Anasūûyāâ, the wife of Sage Atri, was well known for Her chastity (pativratāâ). As a result, she had acquired tremendous power, due to which Deity Indra and other deities felt threatened. So, they went to Deity Brahmāâ, Shri Vishnu and Deity Mahesh (Shiva) and told Their agony. The trinity of Deities decided to test Anasuya’s chastity.

Once, when Her husband Sage Atri had gone out, the trinity of Deities disguised as guests and approached Anasuya asking for alms. She requested Them to wait till Sage Atri returned; but They insisted on being served food immediately. They further said, ‘we have heard that you serve guests food as per their wishes in your hermitage; that is why, we have come here.’ Anasuya agreed to serve Them food as per their wishes. The Deities laid down a condition that She should serve Them in nude. Baffled by this, She thought, ‘my mind is pure, the prowess of my husband’s penance will save me.’ She then contemplated upon her husband and got a thought, ‘these guests

Advent of Srimad Bhagavad-gita

slide+10+Arjuna+and+Krishna.jpg

This is the annirversary day commemorating the day that Srimad Bhagavad Gita was spoken by Lord Sri Krishna to His dearmost devotee Arjuna at the place now known as Jyotisar Tirtha amid the waring families of the Kurus and the Pandavas at Kurukshetra. If one wishes one can still go and visit that place and see the monument erected there with Krishna as Parthasarati (the chariot driver) and Arjuna the warrior on their chariot. It is claimed by the ashram who maintain the shrine that the tree that is next to Them is a continum growth of the original tree witness that was there at the actual day of speaking.

Traditionally devotees come to Kurukshetra (Dharmakshetra) and recite Bhagavad Gita from early morning until the next morning, perform arati to Bhagavad Gita and to Krishna and Arjuna upon the chariot, offer lamps 'deep daan' at Brahma Sarovar, shloka recitals, shobha yatras and seminars on the significance of the Gita today.

Devotees who cannot get to Jyotisar Tirtha remember the b
