HDGSP remarked the day BEFORE the appointment tape of may 28,1977---

Prabhupada: Everywhere. Among yourselves, there is no strong man. That is the defect. All like child. That is the defect. And it requires a very strong man. That is lacking. In every minute details I have poked my nose.

[October 2, 2019 is the appearance day of Śrī Śrīmad Bhakti Pramoda Purī Gosvāmī Mahārāja in Vṛndāvana, India. Below is an excerpt of his glories from 'My Beloved Masters' by Śrī Śrīmad Bhakti Vijñāna Bhāratī Gosvāmī Mahārāja]

UNPARALLELED SERVICE TO ŚRĪLA PRABHUPĀDA'S BRHAD-MRDANGA

In 1922, at the age of twenty-four, Śrī Śrīmad Bhakti Pramoda Purī Gosvāmī Mahārāja (then Śrī Prāṇavānanda Brahmacārī) accepted complete shelter at the lotus feet of Śrīla Prabhupāda on the most auspicious day of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Janmāṣṭamī. On that day, he accepted both harināma and dīkṣā initiations and engaged himself exclusively in the service of the maṭha. Previously, he had been a science student who later switched to studying the arts. After finishing his secondary schooling and receiving his Indian School Certificate, he went on to study the arts at the university level and acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Knowing Śrī Prāṇavānanda Brahmacārī to be well educated, Śrī

Rukmini, also known as a form of Devi as Goddess Lakshmi is the wife of Lord Krishna. She was believed to be known for her beauty, love, and honesty. Rukmini is the first and prominent queen of Lord Krishna – The king of Dwarika. She is well-known in Hindu legends as the principal wife of Lord Krishna. According to Bhagwat Purana (ancient Hindu doctrine), Lord Krishna valiantly kidnapped her and saved her from an unwanted marriage with a wicked Shishupal. Krishna took her away and married her. Rukmini is also considered to be a personification of Devi Lakshmi (the goddess of fortune).

Her Birth

As per the Puranic Encyclopedia, Princess Rukmini was born on the 11th of Vaishakha (Vaishakh Ekadashi). Goddess Lakshmi as her one of the avatars took birth in the Earth as Rukmini in the family of Bhismaka. As Lakshmi is Vishnu’s Shakti so is Rukmini Krishna’s Shakti. Wherever and whenever the nam

Prabhupada:Do you know the meaning, what is that, sri-guru-carana-padma? What is that song? Read it.
Devotee: Sri-guru-carana-padma, kevala bhakati-sadma...
Bando mui savadhana...
Prabhupada: Ah, savadhana mate, "with great care." You sing this song -- do you know the meanings? No. Who can explain the meaning? Yes, you explain.
Devotee: Sri-guru-carana-padma means "the lotus feet of the guru." Kevala bhakati-sadma, that he is a reservoir of all devotion, or bhakti. Bando mui savadhana means that we worship him with great awe.
Jahara prasade bhai...E bha va toriya jai.
Prabhupada: E bhava toriya jai. If one is favored by guru, then the path to cross over the nescience is clear. Jahara prasade bhai, e bhava toriya jai.
Devotee: Krsna-prapti hoy jaha hate.
Prabhupada: And krsna-prapti hoy jaha hate: by the favor of guru one gets Krsna. Yasya prasadad bhagavat. Everywhere. This is bhagavad-bhakti-yoga. So one who has not attained this state, what is this bhagavad-bhakti? This is rascaldo

To All G.B.C., and Temple Presidents

Dear Maharajas and Prabhus,

Please accept my humble obeisances at your feet. Recently when all of the GBC members were with His Divine Grace in Vrndavana, Srila Prabhupada indicated that soon He would appoint some of His senior disciples to act as ritvik - representative of the acarya, for the purpose of performing initiations, both first initiation and second initiation. His Divine Grace has so far given a list of eleven disciples who will act in that capacity:

His Holiness Kirtanananda Swami
His Holin

"Hare is not Hari but Hara"

"Hare is not Hari but Hara"

---We may think Rama means Dasaratha Rama, or that Hare sometimes means Nrsimhadev, but in the ultimate sense, it will come that here Hare is not Hari but Hara.

---Hara becomes Hare. Hara means She who can capture, who can snatch the highest position. So, we find Radhika. Why? She can snatch away the mind of Krishna, what to speak of others. Hara means Radha in the highest sense of harana, stealing, snatching—attracting. So, Hare Krishna means Radha Krishna. Krishna is He who attracts everybody, and Rama is He who can please everybody, and more specifically Radha-ramana Rama, He who can please even Radhika.

With the sense that Rama means He who holds the supreme position of attracting and pleasing everyone, we enter Krishna-lila and find that Rama is Krishna and Hara is Radha. Those who enter that plane cannot deviate from it to any other plane. The plane of Ramachandra is mixed with morality, politics, s

The importance of chanting

The importance of chanting

Once Srila Prabhupada asked a few devotees who were with him, “Why do you think I wrote all these books?”

Devotees gave different reasons. Someone said, “You wrote these books to tell us about the philosophy of Krishna, philosophy of Gita.”

Prabhupada said, “No.”

Someone else said, “Prabhupada, you wanted to teach us about bhakti.”

Prabhupada said, “No.”

Like this, the devotees were giving so many different reasons.

Somehow Prabhupada was not satisfied.

He said, *I wrote all these books to convince you to chant Hare Krishna Mahamantra*

Chanting the Hare Krishna mantra is so important. The Lord’s avatar in this Yuga is in the form of the holy name. Srila Prabhupada wanted us to chant the holy name.

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Lord Shiva has a very unique and significant position in the cosmic manifestation. In fact Lord Shiva is the most powerful, second only to Lord Vishnu. Shiva is an expansion of Lord Krishna. Revealed scriptures explain that Krishna has 64 qualities. Lord Brahma posses 78% of these qualities and Lord Shiva possesses 84% of these qualities. Since living entities are also like Brahma so they also possess 78% of these qualities but in lesser extent. None of them possess all 100%.
Srila Prabhupada explains, “The living being can never possess attributes like Shiva, Vishnu or Lord Krishna. A living being can become godly by developing the seventy-eight-percent transcendental attributes in fullness, but he can never become a God like Shiva, Vishnu or Krishna. He can become a Brahma in due course: - Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.28 purport
Lord Shiva has connection with the material nature but Lord Vishnu (or Lord Krishna) is transcendental to material nature. The position of Lord

A fable narrated by Srila Sarasvati Thakura

There once lived a king who had many sons. For their entertainment he had ordered an entire family of monkeys to be caught and domesticated. Those monkeys lived in the palace, and the princes would play with them and feed them tasty tidbits. The leader of these simians was a wise elderly monkey who was studied in the scriptures of Canakya Pandita and other sages which he taught to his kinsmen.

Besides these monkeys, a flock of sheep was kept to pull a cart for the princes’ amusement. Among these sheep, one especially ravenous ram always sought opportunities to sneak into the kitchen and guzzle whatever he could. Upon noticing the ram in their territory, the cooks would immediately strike him with the first object they could grab. This was a daily occurrence and sometimes happened a few times a day.

One time, after seeing the cooks beat the ram, the monkey leader became pensive. He deliberated, “Wherever coo

Srila Prabhupada..."Ah. So this is our one of the items, to vanquish all these rascals, so-called swamis. They say that "Why you criticize others also?" Because we have to vanquish them. Now these people cannot rise. When there is sunrise, there is no use of these glowworms. So this Krsna consciousness movement is Krsna Himself. Therefore they must be finished, all over the world. So-called religionists, so-called philosophers, so-called avataras, swamis, yogis -- finished."

We Are Absolute Infinitesimals – Part One

by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda

A conversation with Mrs. Nora Morell from Germany

Part One

We should have firm faith in the Divinity. We are absolute infinitesimals, and we require association with the Absolute. If we express diffidence in doing so, we are likely to be entangled with the ephemeral matters of this world. Our friends stay with us for a few days only. At any moment, when death calls them, they will have to leave us. All that we do should tend towards association with the Divinity. We should not undertake any work for our temporary purposes.

We are His dependents, and as we are infinitesimals, we require to have our final place in Him. We should carry out all of our activities for His purpose only. We should not think that we have anything else to do. Rather than behaving like ordinary people, we should take up the method of exclusively tending to Him,  serving Him with everythi

''Those who are demoniac do not know what is to be done and what is not to be done. Neither cleanliness nor proper behavior nor truth is found in them.
They say that this world is unreal, that there is no foundation and that there is no God in control. It is produced of sex desire, and has no cause other than lust.
Following such conclusions, the demoniac, who are lost to themselves and who have no intelligence, engage in unbeneficial, horrible works meant to destroy the world.''

"An acarya who comes for the service of the Lord cannot be expected to conform to a stereotype, for he must find the ways and means by which Krishna Consciousness may be spread...
Therefore it is a principle that a preacher must strictly follow the rules and regulations laid down in the shastras yet at the same time devise a means by which the preaching work to reclaim the fallen may go with full force." Chaitanya Charitamrta A.L. ch. 7, purport of verses 32 and 38

"If a bhakta is angry upon them, that is not envious. That is for good."
----
Prabhupāda: ....Now, if you speak the straight truth they'll be angry. Mūrkhāyopadeśo hi. But this is fact.
Jayapatākā: You can speak, Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Prabhupāda: I speak. I said in Melbourne, "United Nations is association of barking dogs."
Jayapatākā: You have that expert quality.
Prabhupāda: Yes. I cannot check myself.
Pradyumna: You say that. You get so angry at seeing it, you...
Prabhupāda: (laughs) Krodha bhakta-dveṣi-jane. That is Narottama Ṭhākura's instruction. You must be very angry, those who are against God and devotee, very angry. Utilize your anger for them. Krodha bhakta-dveṣi-jane. That anger is service. Kṛṣṇa-sebā kāmārpaṇe. For Kṛṣṇa's service one should be mad. Kāma-krodha should be given up, but a bhakta does not give up. Utilize it. A bhakta should be very much for kamut(?) serving Kṛṣṇa. And he must utilize his anger for the bhakta-dveṣi, those who are not devot

Karuna Braga Dear Tamohara Where are the true followers? What's your proposal ?!? Should we distrust everyone then? Show us the story.

Dasa Tamohara You are welcome to read my posts and site https://puredevoteeseva.ning.com/ As you know Srila Bhaktivinoda for example identified 13 sahajiya cults, and there was only one pure cult via our disciplic succession at that time in that area of the world. At the end, he walled himself in a samadhi, saying that the deviants were everywhere, hardly any good association left. Srila Prabhupada himself left the remnants of his own Guru's mission due to their deviance, and he spoke many times of the many con men and commenters on Gita etc. So, we know that the truth is rare, the cheaters many.

“I will leave this place [Vrndavana] and travel to foreign lands...”
Bhakti Devi speaking to Narada, in Srimad Bhagavata Mahatmyam (Padmapurana, Uttarakhanda) translated by Sri Satyanarayana Dasa

[The Srimad Bhagavata Mahatmyam (The Glories of Srimad Bhagavatam) is a section of the Padma Purana. It tells the story of how Bhakti can be revived in Kali yuga through recital of Srimad Bhagavatam. When Srila Prabhupada left Vrndavana and came to America, it is significant that his only possession was a trunk containing the first volumes of his Srimad Bhagavatam, which he considered his most important work. It is also significant that he instituted daily recitation of the Bhagavatam as the foundation of the temple program, and that Srimad Bhagavatam (in the form of Krsna Book) was the first of Srila Prabhupada's books to be distributed in large quantities. Until Srila Prabhupada came west, devotional service (Bhakti) had never been successfu

She is so sublime and youthfully blissful and beautiful. She is like a fresh Goloka campaka flower, or a lotus in the cooling waters of Vrndavana. There is no Being anywhere ever so merciful as She and Her expansions. Even Krsna falls at Her feet in wonder and ecstasy. Realizing Her spiritual perfections and nature, who would not beg and cry to render some tiny service, somehow or other?

“Regarding your question: ‘What does it mean, we are all originally Krsna conscious entities? We are always with Krsna. Where is Krsna not present? So how can you say that we were before? You are always with Krsna and when we forget this fact we are far, far away from Him. In the Isopanisad it is clearly stated that: tad dire tad vantike. ‘He is very far away, but He is very near as well.’ (Isopanisad, Mantra Five). So this forgetfulness is our fall-down. It can take place at any moment, and we can counteract this forgetfulness immediately by rising to the platform of Krsna consciousness.”
(SPL to Upendra, 13th July, 1970)

“We are all originally situated on the platform of Krsna consciousnessin our eternal personal relatio
