Sri Sanatana Goswami Madan Mohan temple

Sri Advaita Vata

HISTORY OF THE MADANA-MOHANA TEMPLE

Sanatana Gosvami established this temple. It is one of the first temples built in Vrindavan. The Deity of Madana-Mohan was originally known as Madana Gopala. Madan Mohan Temple on the riverside is the oldest structure in Vrindavan.

Advaita Acarya discovered the original Deity of Madana-Mohan at the base of an old vata tree, when he visited Vrindavana. He found this Deity at Advaita Vata, which is the place where he did his bhajana. This place is just below the hill on which the Madana-Mohan temple is located. He entrusted the worship of Madana-Mohan to his disciple, Purusottama Chaube, who then gave the Deity to Sanatana Gosvami. Worshiped along with Madana-Mohan are Radharani and Lalita, who were sent to Vrindavana by Purusottama Jena, the son of Maharaja Prataparudra.

This 20m (60 ft) high temple was opened in 1580 on Aditya Tila, a 16m (50 ft) hill next to the Yamuna. Ram Das Kapoor of Mult

Sudip Nair said; almost the entire population of young devotees get preached to remain humble, not criticize and not expose anything with the fear of committing Vaisnava Apradha. The poisoners use this tactic to keep them under their control so that no one sees through their deception. And even 99.99% of them ....., have no guts to openly expose the poisoners with the fear of getting...... blocked"

Joshua Davis “It is the duty of the disciples to take charge of the mission of the spiritual master and execute it properly. Otherwise the disciple should decide to die along with the spiritual master. In other words, to execute the will of the spiritual master, the disciple should be prepared to lay down his life and abandon all personal considerations.”

"9468763694?profile=originalI CAME HERE TO TAKE THEIR SUFFERING", SAID PRABHUPADA

It was the beginning of 1977. Prabhupada was in Bombay temple. He was very sick. He had stopped all food intake – he was taking 1/4 a cup of orange juice per day. His body had only bones left – there was no flesh. And yet, he was insisting that he wanted to go to London. The doctors had given up responsibility. But as always, he was adamant

At this time, one Pancaratrika Pandit from Bangalore named Sampat Kumar Bhattacarya came to know about Srila Prabhupada’s situation. So, he took a flight from Bangalore to Bombay – which in those days was a huge thing for a Brahmin priest – and met Prabhupada, and asked for a private meeting. Generally, nobody was allowed a private meeting, but when he said that he specially came by flight from Bangalore to meet Srila Prabhupada, he was allowed a private meeting. So, everybody was asked to go out, and they talked.

The conversation was like this: Sampat Kumar: ‘Swamiji, I am feeling very pained

Dear Uttamasloka Prabhu;

Back in the authorized days, Kishori Kishora and Radha Gopinatha used to eat like kings!! Nowadays, it seems canola is used, aluminum pots, its just not anywhere near as opulent, not by a long stretch. Do you think they are misundertsanding the philosophy of Deity worship? My understanding is that if the Deities are pleased, the whole temple becomes opulent.

Do you have any comments re Sivarama Swami, who basically took the Winnipeg temple and moved it to the USA, leaving us without a temple now for the last twenty-five years? Was this Satsvarupa's idea, zonal manager at the time, or Sivarama's, president for a short while there? What is the story of the Winnipeg devotee's ventures after leaving Manitoba? Where are the Nitai Goura from Winnipeg, now? You may not know, but then, perhaps you have heard something of those days.  HK. Pamdo.

Uttamasloka;  90% of all Canola crops are GMO - very bad.  The Deities should have ghee or organic cooking oils, ie:

Our vision is of eternal blissful devotee-filled cultural centers, temples of Srila Prabhupada, filled with his loving disciples. Those who want to leave this safe and blissful shelter, and are fully qualified and ordered by Krsna, let them leave the father temple and start new ones of their own in succession, like apples falling from the tree. But there should always be the faithful preaching servants and disciples of Srila Prabhupada, in the very temples which he built for this very purpose. If we follow Srila Prabhupada's instructions, there will always be his disciples, otherwise, how can he have ordered that only HIS DISCIPLES are to be the temple presidents and board members in all his temples, in perpetuity ? Isn't this also what PRABHUPADA HIMSELF ACTUALLY DID? He left Gaudiya Maths! He never tried to "take control of" his Godbrothers, residents etc or any assets in Srila Bhaktisiddhanta's temples for his own purposes or disciples etc.! Others did. The current "others" in our
