Prabhupada: Ah. So this is our one of the items, to vanquish all these rascals, so-called swamis. They say that "Why you criticize others also?" Because we have to vanquish them. Now these people cannot rise. When there is sunrise, there is no use of these glowworms. So this Krsna consciousness movement is Krsna Himself. Therefore they must be finished, all over the world. So-called religionists, so-called philosophers, so-called avataras, swamis, yogis--finished. Our

Srila Prabhupada in His Divine Graces last days told us”You western boys and girls you don’t take Maya seriously you do not understand that unless you are cent per cent Krishna Conscious She will crush you She is very serious about her service in protection of Krishna “!

Sudip Nair quotes Srila Prabhupada; "The sastras of the yavanas, or meat-eaters, are not eternal scriptures. They have been fashioned recently, and sometimes they contradict one another. The scriptures of the yavanas are three: the Old Testament, the New Testament and the Koran. Their compilation has a history; they are not eternal like the Vedic knowledge. " - CC Adi 17.169

Srila Prabhupada said we do not refer to nor quote them, and he never went to their Churches except to ask them to stop killing, and he almost never spoke of Jesus except to Christian disciples with a problem, to placate them. That's the reality. He also said nice things of Mahamada, t

Siva Ratri remembrances s

Hope all have a Krsna conscious Siva ratri. Lord Shiva is most favorably inclined to the Hare Krsna devotees, being very kind and topmost among Vaisnavas. Many thanks to Mahadeva for helping us in our lives ! He does so much service, is a perfect example of absorption in Krsna consciousness.

In Puri, 1975, Padmapani and i were japa walking early in the morning, and chanced upon the ancient Lokanatha Shivalingam mandira visited sometimes by Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. We visited briefly, but were chased away by mud-clod throwing kids. That Sivartri evening, we got lost coming home, and somehow or other ended up channeled to a very suci pleasant Shiva mandira decorated with lights and coconuts, with a full 3-d Krishna-style form moorthi, of a gorgeous blueish Lord Shiva, and nicely decorated lit-up Temple, and we were greeted very happily by the Priest there. It was wonderful ! We felt as if Lord Shiva had blessed us after being chased by foolish persons that morning. It was as if He had m

SGGS katha, 2020 1

Thomas Garden When i first met Srila Gour Govinda, 1976 ish, he would not even preach before Western devotees, considering us as his Guru, he said. He was thinking himself the most fallen, unfit to speak to others much. He was on an utthama platform, but when we persistently insisted on his preaching, he started to gradually act like a perfect ghostianandi for doing his duty. His perfect humble character comes out in his pure pukka first class Oriya Vaisnava soft-hearted scientifically perfect and non-demonic katha and pastimes. Example; He refused to sit on a seat for Sunday lecture. I had a cushion made, and it took three tries to get him to sit, and he only accepted when I said it is good for the villagers to see this proper respect, they will listen better. Then he accepted. He was not an ordinary person, believe me. But very lovable, like Gopal ! 1978 ish, Bhubaneswara.
He almost always cried for at least one of the morning kirtana. In attendance were Vaisnava dasa, little Sanat

Varanasi Visvanatha, 1976

We walked bullock cart sankirtan from Prayaga after attending maha kumbha mela with Srila Prabhupada. Lokanatha Swami led, party of eight or so, mixed Westerners and Indians. Padmapani was there, myself, and the famous film producer Jon Kay. We arrived in Varanasi without knowing the 500th anniversary of Mahaprabhu's visit. There were even processions in the street of Caitanya murthi. We did kirtan, wound up the rich metal seller's markets narrow avenues to the Srila Visvanatha Temple, and were very nicely and happily greeted, were asked to touch the Deity Linga, Srila Visvanatha, held kirtana hari haraya namah krsna, hare krsna maha mantra etc, priest put tilak and prasadam to us etc. 500 years to the day, Mahaprabhu's mixed disciples showed up to do kirtana just as He had ! We stayed at Ram ghat at a Ram baba temple that evening, full eclipse of moon, we bathed in Ganga that early evening. I watched the silver blue moon sitting at the steps of the ghat with the devotees, chanting Har

"Śrī Krishna Balarām Mandir"

"Perfect question,
Perfect answer"

Devotee #1: You said that we should eternally remain as a disciple. Some devotees say we are eternally the disciple of one particular guru, one jiva. Is that correct?

Śrīla Gour Govinda Swami: Yes.
He is eternally my guru. I am eternally his disciple.

Devotee #1: What does "eternally guru" mean? The person who is appearing as guru may be different in different lifetimes. It may not be the same person.

Śrīla Gour Govinda Swami:
It is the same soul, not the body, 'caksu-dana dila yei, janme janme prabhu sei' — Life after life he is my master. [Narottam Das Thakur's Śrī Guru-vandana]. My master is he who has opened my eyes. Which eyes? Bhakti-caksu, the eyes of devotion.
That person is my master life after life eternally. If you have that eye you can see him. "Oh, here is my guru."

Devotee #1: Some disciples have< /> two spiritual masters. One may have< /> a diksa-guru, and a siksa-guru.

Śrīla Gour Govinda Swami: Diksa-guru i

William Benedict In his essay entitled "Initiation Into Spiritual Life" (written in December 1928 and published in the Harmonist) Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura writes as follows:

The ceremony of diksha or initiation is that by which the spiritual Preceptor a
dmits one to the status of a neophyte on the path of spiritual endeavour. The ceremony tends to confer spiritual enlightenment by abrogating sinfulness. Its actual effect depends on the degree of willing co-operation on the part of the disciple and is, therefore, not the same in all cases. It does not preclude the possibility of reversion on the novice to the non-spiritual state, if he slackens in his effort or misbehaves. Initiation puts a person on the true track and also imparts an initial impulse to go ahead. It cannot, however, keep one going for good unless one chooses to put forth his own voluntary effort. The nature of the initial impulse also varies in accordance with the condition of the recipient. But although th

Most of you must of seen this picture of the 11 conditioned souls pretending to be gurus tormenting a picture of Srila Prabhupad our true spiritual master. The destruction of "ISKCON" started with these 11 poisonous vipers.

It was clearly a mistake letting these false gurus languish in their egotistical ways. Loving the devotion of the misguided devotees. Yes it makes one sick.

Now here is the point. A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada did not make mistakes. So all you "cult of the guru" lovers who state he ordered these eleven, be elevated to Guru status are grotesquely wrong. You drink from the septic feet of imposters.

Srila Prabhupad looked at them and knew the truth. None of them were suitable. Therefore he proposed a "ritvik" system (priestly instructers) and stated that this was his wish. It was the wish of a spiritual master so high above any of us and they ignored it.

In the decades that have followed

FOR SRILA GOUR GOVINDA MAHARAJA DISAPPEARANCE DAY
February 13th, 2020
SRILA GOUR GOVINDA MAHARAJA DEFENDS SRILA PRABHUPADA BOOKS FROM BEING CHANGED!
By: Swami BV Bhagavat (ACBSP)

Today is the Disappearance day of Parama Pujyapada Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Maharaja, the foremost amongst the Diksha disciples of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. I was ordered by Srila Prabhupada to stay with him and continue my devotional service under his guidance; he was my first Siksha Guru. On this day I would like to relate a little known pastime of how he defended the legacy of Srila Prabhupada’s books by seeing that they were translated As It Is without change or adulteration in any way. His exemplary behavior is a fine example for all of us.

Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja was given the opportunity to reveal to the world the unrivaled perfection of Srila Prabhupada's masterful translation from Sanskrit into English of Bhagavad Gita. Srila Gou

Nimāi Nitāi Dāsa

Confession of Tamal Krsna Maharaj to Vrndavan Dasa concerning the ritvik system of initiation.

I Vrndavana Das joined the movement in the year 1978 in Singapore after reading Srila Prabhupada’s Bhagavad Gita and his very inspiring Back To Godhead Magazine. I was so overwhelmed and convinced i decided in giving myself to serving Srila Prabhupada. In the year 1979 I was initiated by Hansdutta Swami through the Zonal Guru System of initiation that was instituted by the GBC.

In my heart I was always wanting to serve Srila Prabhupada but I was told that Srila Prabhupada had now authorised some of his senior men to become his successor Gurus. Since this was the understanding back then I accepted it as an oder of Srila Prabhupada. Shortly after my initiation I learned that Hansadutta had fallen down, it came as a shock to me has there is no mention of guru falling down in any of Srila Prabhupada’s books. I was t

An excerpt from the article “The 26th Year of Śrī Gauḍīya Patrikā”

When Śrī Gurupādpadma was residing at the establishment of his guru Śrīla Prabhupāda Sarasvatī Ṭhākura – (guru-graha), several heretics also lived there. As guru-bhogīs they enjoyed the facilities provided by their guru [Śrīla Prabhupāda], and as guru-tyāgīs they did not pay heed to the life and precepts of their śrī guru. They even obstructed and hindered Śrī Gurupādpadma’s viśrambha-guru-sevā*. Still, he was akṛta-droha [

Conversations with Prakāśānanda

Lord Chaitanya explained..

A student’s perfection is to understand the identity of the holy name and the Supreme Lord. Unless one is under the shelter of a realized spiritual master, his understanding of the Supreme is simply foolishness. However, one can fully understand the transcendental Lord by service and devotion. When Lord Caitanya offenselessly chanted the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra, He declared that the mantra could at once deliver a conditioned soul from material contamination. In this Age of Kali there is no alternative to chanting this mahā-mantra. It is stated that the essence of all Vedic literature is the chanting of this holy name of Kṛṣṇa: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. Lord Caitanya also told Prakāśānanda Sarasvatī, “In order to convince Me about this essential fact of Vedic knowledge, My spiritual master has taught Me a verse from the Bṛhan-nāradīya Purāṇa (38.12

Baladeva appears as Nityananda Prabhu just in order to extend extreme mercy. Even criminals cut Him, He was prepared to vouch for their lives to save them. He is an unlimited transcendental ocean of light and purity and love and forgiveness for all. There is no other one we can approach, who so broadly opens the path back to Godhead. We all beg for the service of the Dust of the Divine Lotus Feet of Lord Nityananda.

Srila Prabhupada about Gaudīyā Math and His Godbrothers

Prabhupada about his godbrothers

72-08-26. Letter: Gaurasundara

All along I HAVE BEEN DISCOURAGED IN EVERY WAY BY MY GODBROTHERS, but still I have stuck to my duty, keeping my Spiritual Master always in front.

72-09-09. Letter: Krsna dasa

MY GODBROTHERS ALWAYS DISCOURAGED ME BUT I DID NOT GIVE UP, I am doing my duty and always keeping my spiritual master in front. Even there is some difficulty or hardship, or even my godbrothers may not cooperate or there may be fighting, still, I must perform my duty to my spiritual master and not become discouraged and go away, that is my weakness.

Has Gaudiya Math failed?

CC Adi 12.8, Translation and Purport:

At first all the followers of Advaita Ācārya shared a single opinion. But later they followed two different opinions, as ordained by providence.

The words daivera kāraṇa indicate that by dint of providence, or by God’s will, the followers o

"There is no need by any of my disciples to read any books besides my books—in fact, such reading may be detrimental to their advancement in Krishna Consciousness. All reading of outside books, except in certain authorized cases such as for example to read some philosopher like Plato to make an essay comparing his philosophy with Krishna's philosophy—but otherwise all such outside reading should be stopped immediately. It is simply another botheration. If my students cannot even read my own books thoroughly, why they should read others? I have given you TLC, what need is there to read Caitanya Caritamrta translated by someone else. You are right to stop such reading."

"Otherwise, management, everything, should be done locally by local men. Accounts must be kept, things must be in order and lawfully done, but that should be each temple's concern, not yours. Krishna Consciousness Movement is for training men to be independently thoughtful and competent in all types of departments of knowledge and action, not for making bureaucracy. Once there is bureaucracy the whole thing will be spoiled. There must be always individual striving and work and responsibility, competitive spirit, not that one shall dominate and distribute benefits to the others....   "

My Godbrothers have no life for preaching work. All are satisfied with a place for residence in the name of a temple, they engage disciples to get foodstuff by transcendental devices and eat and sleep. They have no idea or brain how to broacast the cult of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
